So the basic jist (sp?) is - don't buy the "bargain" coilovers, just save up for the big boy stuff. Got it.

Well my poorness and jewish friend's influence makes me ask whats wrong with Megans? ive heard only good about them, even in the review that was posted iirc, i know their not gonna be perfect, but mine is also mostly a DD so i wouldnt need much more than entry level coils. KSport always did scare me, and i hear good things about stance.

--ALSO-- This is my Post # 240

wow sandy vagina. And I guess I give a **** based on the mildly humorous fact that i own a 240 and it was post 240. And if my car is a dd and track car because im paying for college and my Nissan needs with the same **** job and I only have one car guess i get to spend more time behind the wheel of my baby. If mommy and daddy wanted to pitch in so I could make my 240 into a full project car that'd be great but it aint gonna happen. I guess if I wanted I could always try and be half as Emo as you. Knock offs can be a good thing, if a company is losing sales to a competitor with a similar product at a lower price, their prices usually come down a bit to.

Your turn.

The installation ratio on a Stagea is different than on an s-chassis, and the car itself is more massive. You can't compare ride quality on spring rate, you have to consider wheel rate, which sadly involves some math.

To the person who said springs don't effect ride quality, you're wrong. A stiffer spring will increase the motion transmissibility of road imperfections to the car body in ride. Dampers effect ride quality in the sense that if your suspension is underdamped, your car will bounce excessively in ride as your damper will be unable to dissipate the inertial effects of both the wheel and the car body.

Im guessing they supplied you with one of their standard crap dampers anyway, even though you provided some information to them.

The reason all the dampers you see on the market today are adjustable is because they're all universal application dampers. Meaning that they're adjustable so someone somewhere doesn't have to do the math to figure out a proper damper ratio for a given car.

Dam I kinda wish I had read this thread before. Just got some Ksport coilovers and I noticed the same thing, the a$$ end bounce but only slightly on my car. I though the spring rate was too low so I was ganna tighten it alittle. But I guess if theyre notorous for bouncing a little bit, I probly woulda chose something different. Its not horribly bad though, it takes corners great even on the standard setting. O yeah thats another thing that was wak, wen i got them they didnt come with any instruction on setting the spring rate. I had to look online to find what i was looking for. It says turn the spring perch hand tight...well is that 3 turns or 5 turns, im kinda mad that it didnt give me a zero setting for the spring rate, standard ride height for the car, or even a zero setting for the camber angle. But i got it all figured out, it just took a little more time then needed.
