That is the reason you see so many Tein Basics blow when people slam their car. The basics do not have adjustable lower perches whereas all KSport models do. To get adjustable lower perch on most coilovers you can expect to pay well into the 1k range.
So you'd leave the top adjusting nut alone and adjust the height form the bottom adjusting nut?

wow, truely amazing . Is it a positive 100% these fit the Coupe and have been tested for any amount of time? More information would be great. I'm not very familiar with K-Sport.

lol I know can't blame a brother for tryin though.

FYI guys the price is outstanding. I called them up for the price. I'd just rather have tanabe or tein so I can use TEAS/EDFC. I am rather tempted though.

I contacted Tein last week and they said to check back in a few months. So I think that they wont be coming out with anything for another 3-5 months or maybe more. I patiently waited for about a year for Tien and Tanabe to come out with something and nothing yet. So if the price sounds good, I might hit up these ksports.

I've heard nothing but bad things about Ksport, horrible reviews on shocks blowing far to quickly and such. I don't recommend these guys at all.

Yeah, more information would be nice.

I don't think I'm ready to jump on a group buy before there's at least some conclusive testing.

I've heard both bad and good about KSport, but it's all been 3rd or 4th hand information. I've never known anyone to use them, but would like if they offered up a set for someone to test out first and give them few runs on a road course and then give us a review...should they hold up. my 2 cents and am still interested in these.

I asked Robert from MVP for his unbias .02 (taken, hes selling the product, but...)

"All I can tell you is that I personally run these coilovers on my S14 and will soon be installing them on my IS300. I have done nothing but track in my S14 and have yet to experience a single problem. The people that are having blown struts are most of the time due to inproper lowering(as my illustration showed in the original thread). We have tested and sold their version RR coilover setup on our Supra. It was a drag race specific setup and did a best of 1.8 60 ft on drag radials. I personally stand by their product and with proper installation should have no issues."

Yeah and my Army Recruiter promised me hiking and camping and see the world and all of a sudden my a$$ was in Saudi for Desert Shield and Storm

Moral of the story, never trust the salesman I'd like to see more information and more conclusive testing myself.

I would really make sure Ksport has these coilovers for our cars and has done R&D for them. These were one of my contacts in doing coilovers for my car and it didn't go through for reasons.

here's a quality idea . Get the folks at Ksport to send MVP a set for testing and I'll drive out there and have them installed on my turbo-coupe. my review will be told of a good hour of heavy cornering, high speed grade changes, braking, accelerating, 60ft times, etc. If they pan out than we'll go forward with the group buy and we'll know these are for real.

just a suggestion

although seemingly a good idea, wouldn't all the aforementioned issues arise after time? not just continuous driving for a couple hours but possibly the same type of stress but mimicked over a longer period of time?

What hes talking about is testing them for fit.. not long term use or its ability to last over time...

We dont know of a coupe with them on, someones gotta make sure they fit properly!

this is insane. we have a group buy approved for something that might not even be available for the altima coupe. I'm going to email Ksport and get the details and see what they have to say. I'll also try to get a playa's price of free.99 if they want to sponsor something being I'll help them sell a boatload of these.

I previously owned a set of Ksport coilovers on my specV and wasnt impressed at all. Other people that had em blew the shocks after a short period of time.
