BTW, if you want to save some cash pick up your ECU and mail it to JWT... I'll get the ECU tuned for you for $485 rather than the $550 they want to charge you. That'll save you $65 that you can put towards something else.

Just gimme a call tomorrow if you'd like to set that up.

I dont mean to highjack the thread, but how do you tune someones ECU without having the car to run on a dyno and all? I thought that was the point of tuning. If I just sent you my stock ECU and told you my setup, you could tune it for me?

I dont know EXACTLY how they do it but it is basicly setting a new baseline to work from. I know in my case they will reprogram it to MSD 50# injecors a walbro fuel pump and make it able to receignize a 300zx maf on its own. Im sure some other crap too but i dont know for sure.~Sam

jwt is a shop in california that has years of experience with nissans. they have a dyno at their shop where local people could go to get a personal tune. for their ecu programs they take cars with that setup and get a tune. they will use this to program other ecu's that come into the shop. given not everyone's engine is exactly the same even if they have very similar setups. this is why they will program your ecu with safe maps. fuel map will run a little extra rich and timing map has a few more degrees of retard. this usually results in a little less power made but keeps from everyone blowing their engines.
