Yes, I just saw it today... it not only set the opening day record but broke the opening weekend record too! What an amazing movie!

Did anyone else find Ledger's Joker morbidly hilarious in a creepy sort of way?? It's a shame he's gone and his portrayal of the Joker with him.

I saw it opening day, I bought my tickets in advance, waited two hours online but it was worth the wait. The movie was 2hrs and 40min but it was so good that you didn't even realize it. I def want to go see it in Imax again when they are tickets available. The theater I went to was sold out in all times until Monday.

The movie was exceptional. Best I have ever seen? I would say no, but it was one of the top.

As for Ledger's performance as the Joker, I am not sure I am ready to give him the title over Jack. It seems that Ledger molded some of the Joker-esque movements and speech around Jack's character. The difference between the characters was the writing. Jack's Joker incorporated jokes and humor, Ledger's character was just plain evil. Anyone who has seen the shining would say that Jack has the ability to play Ledger's Joker as good if not better, if written that way.

Its definately the writing... the writers meant for this version of the joker to be an insane sociopath, that wadn't the case for Jack's Joker... we can go all day about Jack (who is a great actor) vs Heath, but as for THIS movie, Heath's portayal is the Ace in the Hole!

Absolutely agree-the acting job wasn't better or worse, the actual joker character as written was superior in this latest version.

.. real talk, Heath actually scared me a little bit... scared me in the sense that there could be someone that insanely evil walking the streets, just waiting to explode

The sad thing is that i can see how someone forced (he wasnt forced) into acting a role like that for an extended period of time, can lose touch with reality and become attached to the character... Idk all im saying, is that if his last movie had been something lovey dovey with a cute girl on the beach, maybe things would be different now...

To Ledger!
I agree 100%, one of my favorite human beings/actors/activists/rappers/poets/people of all time was Tupac Shakur.. I remember watching an interview where he talked about what it takes to play vicous roles like that (remember crazy a$$ Bishop from Juice)... he said he would start to play the role in real life, live the role, stare folks down when walking, curse out and blow up on folks for no reason just to continue the role and make the character seem authentic...

I'm not saying Tuac was as good an actor as Jack or heath, I'm saying I agree that its not that easy to turn that type of thinking off when they yell cut...

Police officers that work in Vice have a higher incidence of doemestic abuse than the average officer, there's a reason for that... these guys are acting too, but their lives are at stake so they reall have to play the part...

If indeed this role played ANY part in Heath's untimely death, its a shame, and a trajedy... very sad

I read in the most recent TIME mag (yes TIME, and MAD are my "toilet journals")... that there were 3 cases of soldiers (not even low ranks i dont think) who had murdered their pregnant wives... There is a correlation... Much like Dave Chappelle losing his mind IMO, its hard to seperate one reality from another... and check out the new emblem... double thumbs up!

I saw it in IMAX for $7 thanks to my work giving discount at regal theaters

PS: Costco gives a similar discount ticket for $7.50, go get it for next time
