I just ran a 18.229 in the quarter today at the drag strip. I was running a 95 hardbody truck with a 2.4 ltr engine. Anyone have any ideas to put some cheap speed in this thing? I already have a k&n in there.:(

must resist shot on the GT-R sticker....

you could always give it a 75 shot of nitrous:) don't know how well the motor will standup but nitrous is usually the cheapest way to go for good power

aries had a 200shot on his KA. I think you could go with a 100 shot with along with some basic tuning. Maybe a intake and some mild cams, that should get you to below a 14 second 1/4

thats a sick lookin hardbody by the way :)

Give it the gas!!! N20!!! :ylsuper

Seriously. You've already have the intake. With an exhaust, and a simple system, you can knock seconds off of that time. Just do a leakdown test ahead of time to make sure your bottom end is sound.

I would think weight was an issue. How much do those things weigh?

probably not too terribly much

perhaps a 240 transmission and rear gear will help if they'll bolt in? That would probably be pretty cheap from a junkyard

Smaller rear wheel/tire combo will effectively increase (lower) your final drive ratio.

A little 50-shot of the gas will do wonders for that little lady!

I know I do...you could PROBABLY get away with a dry kit even for only a 50 shot...but I'd do a simple 75 wet shot, but not a direct port setup. Also I'd upgrade the fuel pump.

For cheap power, hell yes!! When done conservatively, with some fuel enrichment, NOS can be a real boost to any engine. It's sort of like a turbo, in a bottle.

with no lag, and not compressing air, but it does give the motor more oxygen!

maybe you should get some "car perfume" supposed to be some gas additive to give exhaust some kinda smell, think I want one that smells like cotton candy, I'm just getting the feeling that I'd be dumping sugar in the tank...
