I really like those. A nice, clean, simple 5 spoke design that still manages to stand out.

So far it rides great... suprised how well it rides with such low profile tires. Let's put it this way... I had 20's on my J30 and 22's on the Q ride better than my stock wheels on the J. Honestly I cant tell the differnce between my stock wheels vs the 22's other than going over potholes you can tell though. If anyone lives in the socal area I well let you drive my car to prove me wrong.

Pioneer you were right though the rears rubbed and I think on 22's the max you can do on the car is 22x10 but it was probably the offset that was a too little aggressive which caused the rub. I'm glad GFG convinced me to do 10" width otherwise I would have been in trouble... I guess some guys so know what they are talking about.

Globe tires is great in Santa Monica... recommened with upmost praise.. ask for Henry and you can say Bruce referred you.

My rear fenders are rolled, and the wheels are flush like that, but there's no rubbing at all. I'd suggest you just get the fenders rolled, it won't compromise anything and you won't have to worry about rubbing. I'd also go ahead and get the 10.5" wheels, especially with such wide rubber - or I'd go down a size on the rear tires if you stay with the 10". It will look great when they're on it, are you gonna lower the car?
I want to lower it but I dont know how low I can go before it starts rubbing. I want at least to lower it 1 inch without question.

Since you went to Globe, I know they can roll fenders. If not, STI Motorsports just around the corner on Washington / La Cienga can do it. Drop it 2" and roll the fenders, you'll automatically have one of the best looking cars around just by wheels, drop and rolled fenders with flush wheels. Nice looking wheels.

Bruce,

Nice looking rims. I'm glad you're completely satisfied with your selection. It stands out pretty well. Jason B has swift springs that lower 1" and I wouldn't recommend lowering over 2 inch. I work in SF valley and played golf at De Bell in Glendale. Maybe I could test drive your car next time and see what a nice ride you have!!

And don't forget that I can get you the JDM Tein's that offer ~2" front and ~1.75" rear.

It's funny Falk.. you were the first person on the site I started talking to about wheels and so forth and Derrick from D2Autosport was the one telling me and INSISTING... and quote "YOU CANNOT RUN STAGGERED 22's ON THE Q AT ALL"

I was like why... he said the fenders were to shallow and could not handle such depth in width. I just knew it wasnt true and talked to another guy Carlos at the Wheelwarehouse in Anaheim and said the same thing.

I told Derrick are you sure.. he said POSITIVE. Derrick admitted he never worked on the car so I was yet to really take confidence in ordering my autocouture wheels from him which I came close to doing. I just did not want 8.5 width all around the car and spending that kind of money you better beleive I want to get what I want which was a staggered setupI really like Derrick but he dropped the ball on this one and lost my sale.

So which brings me to Globe.. they had engineers at GFG and took precise measurements on the car from front to rear as did GLOBE and came to the conclusion that 10" is the most width you can get without problems... and they were correct. The offset is pretty aggressive for 22's which is +32.

There's no way i would go deeper in width in this car even with 20's. I think 10" width is perfect. Maybe on G35 10.5 would work possibly.

I'm really curious though how the wheels would look on the Y33. You want to try my new shoes Falk just for kicks? I'm around your neck of the woods on the weekends.

That thing is looking Nice man. I like it a lot. I ran 20" on my car so I know what I was looking at and it was a close fit.

So you went with 22x9 and 22x10 with a +32 offset. What tire size did you end up getting?

Maybe we can setup a chart on what has been proven to work so to help others out.

Would you allow the guys from Giovanna/GFG to use your Q in their ads? They are always in the duPont Registry, Rides, Dub, and yes Lowrider.

got the PZero's 245/30 fronts and 285/25/ in rear. speedometer is still pretty accurate. only went above stock height a little less than one inch
