Finally picked out the wheel. they normally just in make the wheel in 20" but he said they would make it in 22" just for my car.

22x9 front and 22x10 rear GFG Vissio

Michelin Tires

255/30/22 295/25/22

Should be two weeks before they come in.

For the wheel techs and experienced moderators such as falkdesigns, q45tech, pioneer and one ton garage and a few others i have chatted with (except for maxnix)..... do you know if there is a big difference between 10 vs 10.5 in rear width. They guy said the 10" width will fit for sure but not sure on 10.5. I know a few guys on here have 10 width on their F50 without rolling the rear fender so I'm wondering if I should have them order the 10.5 width rather than the 10. Let me know what you think is better.

Hey pioneer, do you think if you rolled the rear fenders you could put a 10.5 in the back. You said you had 2mm of space without rolling the fenders so im thinking with that width they would fit if they were rolled.

What are you going to do with your stock rims? I have a set of M45 rims but need spacers for them, I might pick up yours (what size are they) and sell the M rims if the price is right. e-mail me directly [email protected]

Those are sharp. I have got to see them on yoru car when you get them mounted.

I don't think you could tell much difference between the 10" and 10.5" rims. Remember 1/2" is equivalent to about 12 MM

The big factor in rolling the fenders, is the tread width, and the centerline of the wheel. If you have 10.5" wheels and 275 MM tires, you would have more fender clearance than if you had 10" wheels and 305 MM tires.

The key, is the centerline of the wheel.

I have 8" fronts and 9" rears on my Q. The tires are just as wide as the 9" front and 10" rears on my Corvette, because I use the same tread width (for now). The Vette will be getting 275's on the front and 305's on the rearsoon.

Example

Axis Wheels F50 rolls on 275 mm wide rear tires with 20x11+33mm wheels.

I don't know, but assume the rear fenders are rolled on Chen's Q. Since you're doin' 22 inchers I suggest that you roll em.

Better to be safe now than sorry later.

Although Im not usually a fan of "large" wheels, I think they look great on the F50.

Cant wait to see em on.

I hope so.. i just dont want them to rub in the rear if I go up to 10.5 width on a 295 tire.

10.5" is doable on the rear with the correct offset up to 18"

At 22", I wonder what tire will maintian the OEM 26" diameter?

Weight and strength are always paramount considerations.

The diameter you listed is for the G50. The F50 overall diameter is 1 inch bigger which is about 26.8 or close to 27".

I like the wheels.

on 22" with a 295 tire I'm afread its going to rub on your F50. What Offsets have you ordered. I think the F50 can fit 10.5 rims with +40-45 Offset on 275 Width tires without rubbing.

22" brings the rim too close to the strut and fender that there's not a whole bunch you can play with the Tires. On a 19-20" you have a little more rubber so it can be pulled in a little with negative camber.

I'm looking at some Lexion 203 or 401 now in 19" with a 19x9 19x10 setup. Found some great prices, just waiting to pull the trigger.

I'd be willing to bet the fenders on the Axxis Q are rolled, that's just what you call a good fittment. My rear fenders are rolled, and the wheels are flush like that, but there's no rubbing at all. I'd suggest you just get the fenders rolled, it won't compromise anything and you won't have to worry about rubbing. I'd also go ahead and get the 10.5" wheels, especially with such wide rubber - or I'd go down a size on the rear tires if you stay with the 10". It will look great when they're on it, are you gonna lower the car?

The engineers at GFG are insisting the Q can't handle a 10.5 width in the back. They dont want to build it.. but its my money and they said they will if I want it. If the Q can handle a tire with 285 with a 10 width in the back without rolling the fender I dont see why it would be a problem to have a 295 tire with a 10.5 width in the back and rolling the fender.

They dont have the offsets determined yet. I think on the the 22x9 and 22x10 they want to go with a +32 offset. But I want the 22x9.5 and 22x10.5 so I can have a bigger lip and might use the same offset.

What offsets did you have on the Axis wheels? Where those a 3piece wheel?

To be honest, I can't see any indication of that wheel rubbing??

The stretched tire, along with (some) camber on the lowered car accentuates the amount the tire moves inward as the tire rises/car squats for bumps, etc.

Looks nice, if you ask me .

Well all is final. GFG will not guranatee fitment if they will not fit which means they will not take back the wheels. So now I just decided to go with the original plan which is 22x9 and 22x10 and offset will be +32 which they gurantee will fit with no problems which includes not having to roll the fender. 245's up front 285 or 295 in the rear. Lip size will be 2.5 in front and 4 in the rear.

Oh yeh.. about the Axis wheels. They were rubbing bad on the car... I spoke to a guy at the wheelwarehouse in anaheim and had the owner on the phone and said they rubbed real bad... if you look close and zoom in on the sidewall of the wheel you can see rubbing on the outside. You can also see the inner fender is not rolled.

I seriously doubt that the 40 to 45mm offset in a wide wheel width is going to work - you will most likely hit suspension components.

With 22" wheels, an offset of +32mm might work out where you do not need any rolling, but I would be very surprised. I think you will prefer to roll so that you do not have tire contact with the fender.

on a 22" wheel with +32 offset and a 285 or a 295 tire it will rub on the fender side I'm almost 99% sure.

My 285 with a +38 offset were borderline and the hair on the tires would rubb when I went over big humps in the road.

the 10.5 with a 285 or 295 will rub for sure. I don't think the problem is the Rim. The problem is your choice on tire size. on a 10" with a +32 I think 275 will be a good match.. but Its tough to put a 275 tire and keep the speedo in check. Thats why I went with 285 in my old setup.

I going with the 10" width instead of 10.5.. the guys at GFG insist there should be no rub but we will see.
