Was always a Nissan fan, and it shined thru more when I bought my first car, an '97 Infiniti i30t. I loved that car. A Maxima with all the toys and a surprisingly quick 3.0 under the hood. Lots of fun and mischief with that car, and it broke my heart to get rid of it. Winter did not like my car at all.
But then I got what I drive now, a 2011 Nissan Sentra SE-R. I really like this car, mainly because it's as quick and sporty as the i30, but also much better on gas. It isn't a Spec-V, which were back ordered sadly, but I don't mind. For those, the few I'm sure, who don't know the difference, I have an automatic CVT with a 6spd Paddle Shift mode. How I can get 6 'speeds' out of a gear-less transmission makes no sense to me. Something to do with power-bands or something, I wont even try to pretend to know what makes it tick, as I'm a makes 'n' models man, not a mechanic. Point to a car and I can identify it, open a hood and I'm clueless.
Needless to say, now that I have a brand new car, I am suffering from a lack of direction with which to go. Not sure what to do to it, or even what I can do to it. So here I am, looking to get insight and opinions, or both. Any suggestions? Anyone with the same car?
So far I like how much more active this community seems, as opposed to other Nissan forums I'm a member of, so I think I'll be roosting here from now on. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!
