I'm going to guess "right at 200 HP at rear wheels" based on his sig.

People have to keep in mind, the "advertised HP" #'s are not Rear Wheel when discussing measured versus "thought".

No, her car dyno'd stock at a little over 230HP. I didn't swap ecus until about a week later and didn't have another $120 on hand to run both cars at 3 runs each. Her car was at just over 230HP stock while mine was at 200hp on level 3. I actually gained 5 more HP when I put it back to level 1.

I posted it the past couple of posts that my mom's car had no chage in power even after I swapped my NICO ecu into hers. Her car still out performed mine no matter which ecu I used with the same results. I timed both cars to see how fast it would take them to get from the base to the top of the bridge which turned out to be the same before and after the swap.

The NICO ecu is designed for use in a properly functioning engine, one which has normal compression and properly functioning sensors and injectors.

Obviously if you have a stock 20-30 rwhp difference between engines the lower one has problems and needs to be repaired before using [a diminished safety margin] ecu.

I understand that my car has a problem. Why was there no change in power in my mom's car when I put the NICO ecu in her car. I also noticed that my car pings really bad when it is set on power level 3 during hard acceleration.

Since modded ecu software leans the wide open throttle A/F ratio and advances the amount of ignition advance vs STOCK PROGRAM,.........if a stock program has its CAS misadjusted towards 17-18 degrees and has dirty injectors, low fuel pressure, or a funky MAF.........it is possibble to randomly create some or almost [no redline or speed limiter] increase all of the improvements of the ecu reprogram.

If the fuel pressure never went above 34 psi [to normal 43.4] the A/F ratio would be leaner by 11-12%...........acceleration would suffer up to 3400 rpm but the dyno would show an increase in power to redline after that.
