Just had my yard sign stolen.

What is the world coming to when you cant simply put out a one foot by one foot sign in the yard without getting it taken just b/c they dont like the person your voting for.There were like 10-13 of the same signs all down my street in my neigbors yards and they took them to.Ofcourse they left the only Obama one on the street.

I think the next sign i put out,im gonna outline it with razor wire,or hook it up to a 12v battery and then will see how many times they keep coming back.

There was an article in the local paper this weekend about signs getting stolen, slashed and defaced. The big issue seems to be the one about Prop 8 (anti-gay-marriage law). One guy went as far as to build a frame that encased the sign within plexiglass and with 4x4 posts that reached 2 feet into the ground. It remained secured, but was defaced with the word bigot spray painted on it. I agree with the vandal's opinion on the subject, but not with his methodology. Frankly, if the issue wasn't such a hot one, I'd probably go around having fun with the issue. Unfortunately noone would be taking it lightly.

The flip side of that:

There's a campaign sign near my son's high school supporting Prop 102 (opposes a change in the current definition of marriage in the State of AZ).

Huge red swastika painted over it.
