Well, the car is an Arkansas Q with zero rust and good overall condition. It was longrunQ's car which unfortunately blew it's engine. Guides I think. I got Fred's engine from his other Q and my mechanic did the heart transplant. It's a car that my dad and I are going to work on together, since he had to sell his pristine '87 GN and '64.5 Mustang convert to keep my brothers in school.
The mech said that the new engine sounds good. Hopefully it drives as well. I may be able to find out later today. I'd call him now but I'm sure he's still asleep, like I should be.
We'll see what else the car needs now that it runs again. It very well may needs upper links, I know it needs good tires and probably a brake job. The tires on it are in good shape, but only rated for 112mph, which as we all know is way too low. I also don't know their load rating.
He only charged $550 in labor, which is exceptionally low. He is a very good mechanic however and does swaps every week. Hopefully the quality of the install will be far higher than what he's charging. Time will tell.
