WES,

Why new tension rods as opposed to just the bushings? Just curious I just swapped out the bushings on my '97. $27.95 each from Joe & $15 to have them pressed.

That's a good idea. I'll check on that. Now I have to figure out what the hell is wrong with the steering. I don't know if an alignment will help tighten it up or what. It seems very odd to me that there would be that much slop in the steering when my 240 that is older, has more miles, and way lower in the Nissan/Infiniti hierarchy has very tight steering.

I am off to spend the day under the Q...

Your dad sounds like a motorhead with real integrity! Hope you guys enjoy the Q. Alan

Greg/Fred, where is the pricing for the Blues on the SWA site?

Slaugther,

I just replaced the bushings in my '97. Actually I was just curious as to why Wes replaced the entire tension rod. Thanks though!

I don't think it's on the site (not a huge market for 90-96 Q shocks unless you're a NICO member). I'm pretty sure they're $260 for the set (Tokico's MSRP is $470).

Call and talk to Alex, mention my name and he'll hook you up!

Check your tie rod ends and rack bushings for steering slop... It's possible that the rack was removed for the engine swap? Maybe something didn't get torqued down?
