Just finished my custom S14 Cupholder! Possibly for sale?!?

Hey,I was bored today and decided I'd finally fill that rectangular void that plagues S14 center consoles with a functional cupholder. I made it out of sheet metal and a jigsaw and a good bench grinder...it took me about an hour, but in the end, it's elegant, light, simple, and very effective/functional, and matches me B&M shift knob to boot! The best part is that it fits all of my coffee mugs!

If anyone's interested, I might start making more of these and selling them for $15 + shipping...which is barely worth it for me, but I sympathize with other S14 owners who never have a place for their drinks!

Honestly, I'm making next to nothing off of these, I was trying to be generous with my offer...As I said, it would take me about an hour to make them, and another $5 or so for materials....I don't work for dirt cheap hourly wages, if I wanted to, I could always go to the supermarket that I work at on the weekends...the lowest I can go is $15 shipped...

I'd need to see a picture of your center console...if your S13 console looks like the first picture of the first link, then it will fit...(if the rectangular void is 3" deep and 3" wide)

first nice ride man. lets see one hole saw+shears +one piece of 1/8 inch aluminium+drile + 10 min=one cuper holder cost about 2 bucks.(i duw a lot of duct work) 15 bucks sound about the right amount of mark up.i made some bushing for the old z car.sold them for 6 bucks cost me lets say alot less than that.go for it.:ylsuper

Hurrikane--the materials cost/fabrication time are beside the point. The point is, no other S14 owners had the same ingenuity/idea that I had to create such an easily made, good looking, and functional cupholder as I did....the $$ mark up is for the selling of MY idea and MY creation, not necessarily the labor---but no, I didn't use a hole saw, and the metal I was using bent very easily after getting hot, so it took me about an hour (a lot of polishing/buffing). Unlike you, I have very little experience in metal working!!!

I'm 17 and only work once a week because of school committments/lacrosse, cut me some slack, I need to make SOME money for my turbo kit! lol!
