Greetings NICO...

I have been reading on different things on here over the past year or so in search of information so I thought it would be about time to register...

My name is Chris, I am located in Australia (qld) and own a 1997 180SX Type-X.... Have owned it for 7 months or so now and absolutely loving it, owned a RNN14 GTi-R before this and must admit.... 180 is more fun!


the Car is rather standard at the moment as I like to get as standard as possible of vehicle and modify from there.... no point buying someone elses issues in my book! So far I am working on the suspension and brakes of the vehicle with Apexi N1 EX-V coilovers and some Circuit Sports tension rods. I will be fitting a complete 5 stud conversion soon with R32 GTR brakes all round incl. master cylinder. with all new toe rods, RUCA and traction rods being fitted at the same time.

it doesnt have as much power as I would like currently, but I am purchasing another S13 SR block in the coming weeks aswell as another head which will end up rather..... fun! Will be using the crank out of my GTIR's motor aswell as the Eagle H-beam rods that are in it and whatever else I require from it.


When I do the 5stud swap I will be using some 5Zigen FN01R-C's 17x8 and 17x9's which will be purchased from FRsport, hopefully it will change the entire look of the car aswell as offer more traction.

Currently getting the car's roof repainted to black just to break up the white, will eventually get the type-x lip for the front and maybe the type x valance kit/carbon diffuser...

Cat Back Exhaust - On there from Japan (replacing eventually)
Apexi Intake - On there when It came from Japan

Thats about it for now, more things being done soon!!!!

Gun laws.... hmm Dunno about the other states but I dont think QLD is too good for them unless they are for hunting etc (with a license n all). It should be documented somewhere on one of the government websites....

In a few weeks I will be starting to throw up some pics of the new motors buildup, it will be slow as I plan on doing it right hte first time and only buying things once......

currently my plans are looking like this....
S13 SR20 Block
P11 SR20VE Head
GTi-R Crankshaft
Eagle Rods 19mm B.E
ARP Head and Mains from a GTIR (block will need some drilling for the heads I know that)
VE Oil Pump (if money permits at the time of assembly..... mazworx drysump)
ARE swinging pickup
head Gear will all be replaced with the required things - probably supertech everything....
Mazworx ve kit (maybe minus the intake plenum.... not 100% yet)
JE/Mahle Pistons..... will work it out at time of purchased
Franklin Cams Custom grind.... - If money doesnt allow for them at the time N1 SR16VE Cams should suffice
T04Z Split Pulse or T51R KAI....
Custom Built manifold....
