I'm curious to see how much of a demand there is out there for people who have pictures of their car, vacation pictures, old pictures that need to be restored, or whatever that people would want ran through Photoshop? It could be for restoration, color/lighting adjustment, various effects, taking some things out, etc. For it to be done professionally, you could be looking at about $45/hour, give or take. If I got enough initial interest, I'd be willing to do it at around half that, actually more than half.

There is probably a demand for such services. The theory behind this demand goes back to the need for man to live forever. Unfortunately, this can't and won't happen. So, people have resorted to doctoring their bodies and personal items to see if these things will live forever. That's why such servrices are/or will be lucrative for the foreseeable future.

Yes, there is a market for this kind of stuff. I photoshop a lot for friends and family.

Perfect example; My friends get married, and don't have a professional photographer. Their best wedding photo is of them standing in front of a coffee shop. I am in the process of cutting them out, and putting in a nice background.

This is something that they were more than willing to pay for. Had I been available, I would have photographed their wedding, but since their wedding wasn't here, I am fixing the photo and calling it a wedding gift.

Beano;

Well done! I am sure they will appreciate your contributions to their life, for a very long time.

I know there's a market for it. I used to do it for a living for a few years back in high school and the business I worked for, a photography shop/studio, customers would bring in projects for us. People I've done projects for or have seen my own projects are trying to encourage me to get back into it so I was curious if people here at NICO were interested. Just wanted to see how much interest there was here in the G forum before I headed over to Gen Chat since I know you guys better.

I am sure that is why not many people stoped int lol! I bet you would get more people that would want to have this done in the GC lol

Good luck and if i ever need anything i know where to look

Well, I posted in Gen Chat. Apparently we have a "Photoshop God" and he/she, not sure but assuming he since its god and not goddess, has challenged me to a Photoshop battle while at the same time I'm still trying to judge interest. Oh the humanity, what did I get myself into? But I've been doing some quick Photoshoping the God's photos, to make them look a little bit better IMO. So I guess that makes me Zeus. Check out this epic battle

Give me some more time and a desktop with a real graphics card and monitor instead of a laptop and I'll be back to where I used to be shortly. I've found its kinda like relearning to ride a bike after 20 years--you know how to, but there's minor things you forgot, rough around the edges.

I really enjoy doing this type of work. I'd prefer to be paid for it, but *shrugs*

I could have sworn I just replied here like 5 minutes ago. I must be losing it.

Anywho, Tariq, thanks man. There were some good ideas that were presented in there, just not enough attention to detail.

Nate, it is fun stuff to do. For me, it lets my creative side come out which I can't seem to let out much of anywhere else. That and I've always had an eye for details, particularly when it comes to pictures because I always look at one and wonder how I could make it better. But good luck with the job.
