Comparing motorcycles to handguns is like comparing apples and oranges if you ask me. They really have nothing to do with each other from where I stand.

I think we can agree that cars are much safer the motorcycles, that's all I'm trying to say right now...

you mean apples to apples. both are deadly if used foolishly. but then again so is a car. i suppose we could dance around this forever, but my point is simple and i think my analogy of bikes and guns is fitting. both will cause you great harm if you are stupid. dont be stupid. dont race on the street.

No one should street race. It doesn't matter if you're the best driver on the planet. Things can go wrong, people can make mistakes. Also, you don't know if the guy next to you is the worst driver on the planet.

Man, that website was sick. I agree, it definitely needs a disclamer. What was that driver thinking. Who would do something as dangerous as street racing with their girlfriend in the car? You shouldn't risk someone else's life along with your own.

Street racing always risks other peoples lives, even if your alone in the car.

I think that site might be a little more than just PG13 though...but its not HORRIBLE to me, graphic yes, disturbing yes, but it serves the purpose it should which is making people stop and think about how dangerous street racing is. Btw, that site aint NOTHIN compared to http://www.rotten.com

theres this park in chicago ive been to a few times, at nite its a gathering of ricers and stuff, basically, street racers with cars miles below their egos, anyways, they all show off and peel out and burn out and stuff when leaving the lot, the sad part is that a lot of kids and moms with strollers and stuff come around to use the rest of the park, kinda dumb, at least 99% of those cars are fwd and not too powerful (ricers) but still, i'd hate to see a kid or whoever get hit just cause some moron thinks hes da sh**, and i dont doubt its happened or has been close

p.s. i was meeting my friend there, and he did request i burn out, but i refused, lotta small kids around,

a story, unrelated, happened at my school, its not about street racing, its about dui, but the effects are kinds the same

these two kids were drinking, one was a freshman, the other a junior, or sophmore, anyway, he decided to drive the younger one home, both drunk off their @$$, and they were going a bit too fast, and they drove into the forest, totalled the car, etc, one of the guys flew out of the car, they found him over 100ft from the car, he survived, the other died a few hrs later in the hospital with his family there, the surviver had both lungs punctured, busted spleen or colon, and hes permanantly on a wheel chair, he's also my age, now a senior in h/s, my point is that it was the same thing as loosing control while racing or making a sudden move, wahtever it may be, so yea, if ur gonna be dumb enough to race outside of a track, at least find a parking lot or something

Do you know what turning yourself in actually is? He didn't go to the police station and say "I killed a guy, arrest me". The cops were looking for a guy driving his car and he garaged it until things would blow over. One of his neighbors called the cops when they heard about it and they came to his house and asked if he knew what happened. He made the right decision and was cooperative and told the cops the truth. Because of that I believe he got off a little lighter.

If cops come knocking on your door, I suggest you turn yourself in as well.

If they actually opened the tracks back up street racing would come down but around here either the track is a million miles away or you gotta pay to race, and some tracks even require roll cages, so yeah street racing is dangerous, but as long as you're alert, and don't do anything incredibly stupid like racing in the rain or around a lot of other motorist, there is really nothing we can do to prevent it and like its been said before sorry to say **** happens

true, **** does happen, and yea they do need more tracks, but as far as paying to race, i wouldnt mind paying even $4o or so to race a few times a night, and the roll cage thing is just another sign of how dangerous it is, the tracks are saying u have to have a rollcage to help u, but then again, i do see ur point as most peoples tuner cars are also their daily driver, basically, people need to think of consequences before they act, and also have more tracks to do this type of thing properly on
