The best thing about his engine set is the turbo stuff! I would be so wary of the condition of the motor. That type of set equals means that that engine caught some old fashioned japanese hell in it's life. But possibly, it has something nice inside the valve covers.

That equipment can support around 400ish whp, but without the proper fuel management, you're asking for some melted pistons immediately. That type of turbo is not happy until it's seeing around 15psi or better. Your stock fuel system is on the brink at that point with a T25, so imagine what a big hair dryer like that will do! You need fuel and I'm not talking about an upgreaded fuel pump, either.

Oh snaaaaaaap! I didn't see what was to the left of the photo you attached, a friggin' D16 civic/CRX motor with a red valve cover and the timing belt cover off. That only means that you or someone you know is an -H- ricer or an ex-H- ricer. Hondas forever, man J/K:D LMAO......

A TD05 support 400rwbhp? no way.

A TD06 20g can, but not a TD05-14b, the TD05 isn't very big.

Have a look here...http://website.lineone.net/~jon_ed/Turbo_Table.htm

here's a TD06-20g graph... I think it's at about 1.5bar on a veryt well sorted CA with Omex management, the most he got out of it was 470@fly.

Never proclaimed to be a big expert with the mitsubishi/greddy turbo series, so it was just a guesstimate. But the rest of my post is valid in the fact that if you don't have the proper fuel system, you're going to tear up something. What is this turbo's equivalence in the garret family?

if you look at the table, it's about the same as the std S14/SR20 T28.or a low spec T3.

yeah, pretty poor.

I'm reasonably sure that the WG and manifold are the same as on the Greddy TD06-20g kit though, if so get hold of one of them and you're laughing (as long as the rest is up to spec as you say)

The starion was free and since i didnt have an intercooler or the money to by one it was my only option at the time, I'll probably look into getting and NPR or something of that sort next week or so, and ill try not to destroy the motor. If I can get it running right I'll take a trip up to Miami and you can check it out and give me so advice on tuning it.

P.SThe Honda motor is owned by my brother guys, I tried to bring him over to Nissans but he got a honda due to money conflicts.

These fools with accords is off the chain for real. Whereas the riced-out civics have kinda calmed down, the special fried rice accords is picking up the slack with avengance. When you're for me to check it out, just let me know and I'll shoot you my cell phone. As a matter of fact, on the weekend of the 17th and 18 I'll be at moroso during the NHRA even. I'll try and squeeze in a couple of runs to see if I've corrected my g/f's sentra's ailments.

With my HKS mani I had to re-locate my MC and use a smaller brake booster so that the downpipe would clear.

For the steering, I just cut a small notch out of the WG (for some extra room) then stuck a small stack of washers under the motor mount to raise that side of the engine up a little bit.

It worked like a champ. Although I do wish I could have come up with a better answer for the brake thing than a Datsun 210 brake booster with a stock MC turnned on it's side.

Thanks for the info Paul, and Dee I doubt it will be running by then cause i dont have the time, energy, or money to swap it in or get it swapped in, so unless some miracle by the Nissan Gods happens the 240 will be out of comission for a lil while longer. Also hope everything goes well with your g/f's car.

a starion list member ran 11.8s in his 3000+# 4cyl. He opened up the necks on the stock tanks... dunno how much that intercooler slowed him down. Can't be that bad, huh? sds tuned, auto transmission.

wow, movin was really determined to use that manifold eh

I'd probably sell that setup to a rhd uk guy or somethin', and put the cash towards a custom manifold... or get a used oe mani & t28 to avoid the hassle. It'll get your car up and runnin quicker and still be loads of fun

Yea quest that is an option that i could consider but i'd still have to find a buyer and get a nice sum for it. Plus i'd still like to see how hard it would be to get it in, but like u said it could be just to much of a hassle and then selling it would be an option. But considering i have no idea how long its been on there it would be hard to put a fair price on it, and i couldnt in good conscience sell it for an inflated price ;) but seriously I kinda want it to fit just to see how it runs.

JUST ONE MORE THING!!!

I did have someone lined up to do the swap for $600 (with the KA24de still in) but hes a busy guy and I really wanna see what this motor is like so me and a couple of friends will prolly do it in like a week or so. From what ive read in recent and old posts it shouldnt be that hard at all and if i get stuck i'll just bug you guys on the forums, especially Nismo,Sean, and Dee since you guys are in-state :). If any or you guys wanna send me your numbers or aim names that would be cool ([email protected]) so i could bug ya in a couple of days. If im lucky and i can get it running nice i'll take it to moroso and try to race my friend in his Srt-4, not looking to beat him just see where the motor stands. Well thats all for now, i hope to be posting great news soon, PEACE
