well may 1 my daughter gets a liver transplant and my wife and i flew down for the surgery. while we are down here i went to a junkyard. let me tell you it is a dream come true all the goodies in here. i wish i had a way of getting some of the stuff home for everyone. tons of skylines and silvias. supras, wrx's and evo's crawling all over the place. bestides the hospital i asked my wifes cousins to take me to a junk yard. and everything is dirt *** cheap. i cannot believe how much importers charge to sell things to people in the states. it is highway robbery

Start a business. Go down there with like $10,000, pick what you want and ship it to your house. I understand you might not have the money but hell, grab some friends make some money.

did u get the info on that junk yard ? phone /addy/fax or even email ?

maybe we can contact them and get them to ship us every motor they have there

i got tons of space to store atleast 10 clips + 10 /20 motors in my garage

if i have some dough i am down for an australian junk yard hunting but dam dough is low right now

Its a little bit imaginative to say there are Skylines, EVOs, WRXs etc at all the yards/ they are on the road, but realrly does a Insurance company write one off thats less that 8-9 years without it being totally fu(ked.I'm the only person in NZ to have wrecked a R33 GTR in the last 8 months done over 6 R32 GTRs recently.. other than that, ther is only 1 yard I know of thats done one.. few privates and thats about it.Forget about how cheap somethign is.. you get killed by the freight even if the item is free!20' is the only way to go.. can get alot of engines/cuts in there!

I'm looking at sending a 20' to L.A. at the moment.Just got off the ph to my freight guy.Container freight cleared and read to pickup/ship out from L.A.is ~$3500us+ applicable duty (if any)You can get 25m3 in a 20' if its packed well.. thats alot of gear.. 20+ engines!

Anyone interested?if this is a goer, then I'll throw some $$ the way of the forum as a thanks for helping organise it

The container freight of ~$3500 is from what I believe cleared and on the wharf ready to pickup (according to my shipper)I'm meeting with the guy whos based in L.A. this w/e next week (hes here on business) to find out the go exactly.Basically, the freight is split evenly on size.. so if you can get 20 engines in there, then less than $200 a engine.

I;m not based in the US. I have a guy over there that sends American cars back here all the time.Hes wantingto do a deal.

And also, say you can get 20 motors into a crate. How much is shipping on the whole crate then?

how reliable & trustworthy is this? i'm seriously looking into the complete rb30e long block and rb26/rb25 transmission.

Righty.. from the start...

There is a guy in L.A. (Kiwi Cobras) that sends back US cars and freight here for a living.He is here on business at the moment, and the freight guy I use is his mate and is hooking us up.All the Hotrod boys here use him to get parts sent back.. hes legit, been in business many years and has a VERY good reputation.He is contacting me on Monday to meet and discuss.He will receive container, clear etc and have it in his warehouse for unpacking (as I understand at this time)I think hes actually on the wharf.I can probably organise one of you to head down and check him out once hes back if required.

Basically, I see this needing ~10 motors to make it work?Agreed?
