it would get you a 9 second Sr20det....its more of a setup than they used in 1996 when they went 9's in the s13..i have heard rumors that they send a tuner over with the motor to install and tune it also...not sure if that part is true

You could get a bike and make it run 9's for less than 55k...what's your point?

bring your STOCK evo III or STOCK R33 GT-R and youd get your a$$ raped by and s13 with a jun stoker kit.

You keep saying the JUN stroker kit but I believe what you should be saying is JUN motor. And comparing a modified car to a stock car is like comparing apples to oranges....If you put a modified R33 against a modded S13, the GTR would most likely *** rape the S13. You aren't making a lot of sense on this subject.

edit: For $55k I could import a R32 GTR and have enough left to make it run 9s.

you might be talking about 1998 when they ran a 8.887 quarter-mile in the JUN Hyper lemon silvia. And yes, this engine is more powerful than that one.

lucky, import a skyline and make it have over 750 hp and be as light as a silvia for $55k (not that i dont like skylines, they rock).

The engine (stoker kit or whatever you want to call it) they had they were runing at 1.9 bar with a result of 546kw (732hp). The engine is capable of 2.2 bar safely. nuf said.

And we are talkin about a inline 4 with a fricken Greddy T88-34D on it.

Yes, I'm sure that I could import a R32 GTR and have enough money left to make it have 750HP for very close to $55k. Also, weight reduction doesn't cost anything except your own time....something you obviously wouldn't know anything about since you are stuck on buying a complete engine package.

All 4-cylinders are inline and I've seen larger turbos on 4-cylinders. I actually have a magazine on my desk right now that has a civic with a Turbonetics Y2K turbo. Makes 1000+ HP too

if it doesnt cost anything to lighten a skyline then it doesnt cost anything to lighten a silvia so it will still be lighter

is that 1000+ civic or whatever street legal?

No, it's not street legal but neither is a 735HP JUN SR engine.

Flat 4, boxer engine, ect. To put it simply the don't move up and down in a line from the crank...A boxer engine the pistons are horizontal.

i hear what he is saying from JUN...i think they get a lot of reputation with the SR crowd since they piloted that 9 second run back in 94 or 96 (whenever it was) which was impressive for that time

The JUN HyperLemon Silvia ran in the 8's. :D

why would you not run at least 110 octane if you can afford a $55,000 motor? street or strip regardless...
