Did you mother drink while she was pregnant? I say we dissect this and get to the root of your issues because they obviously go way beyond the inability to take criticism.

i believe music theory to be a tool that one can use not to necessarily improve the quality of their melodies, but rather to make it easier to express ones ideas. it can also be used to add more to the melodies that you created. even the greatest melody in the world can better itself if there's harmony to assist it. so while not necessary to convey one's ideas, a little music theory is somewhat essential unless one can tell what notes lie beneath the melodies to create harmonies. (having perfect pitch)
