Installed OEM foglights almost 2 years ago in my 2002 Chilkkoot. Piece of cake. (Ordered the lights from courtesyparts.com)The wiring harness is already there. Just plug them in.I had to put in a relay which I bought locally. I didn't install a new signal stalk. I just popped the top of the steering wheel cover off, and shorted the fog light switch connector. Now my fogs are on all the time with low beams, but not on high. I know there is another mod to short out the relay, but I haven't bothered with that one yet.By the way, I also installed OEM fogs on my other 2 Nissans, and they were also prewired. Easy. I wanted to put my snows on separate rims, so I went to my local junk dealer, and this is what he found for me. He told me they were from an Izuzu Rodeo. Same bolt pattern and offset. I had no reason to doubt them. They were used, and best of all, they were cheap. I wasn't that concerned with looks. I only have the front snows mounted in this picture. I put on the rear snows about 2 hours ago. They are forecasting a snowstorm for tomorrow. Sucks big time. I hate winters.fueler wrote:hey what kind of rim is that up front? 4runner?
You're right, they don't look that much different in this picture. The front tires are B.F. Goodrich Winter Slaloms. The rears are Goodyear Wrangler RT/S. Night and day in performance. (The Wranglers have no traction.) I'll try and take a picture of the tread pattern tomorrow, if you're interested. They are definitely different.FYI: contrary to what you might expect, snow tires do not have aggressive tread designs. They are not like mud or off road tires with large knobs and stuff. A large tread design is actually worse in snow and ice. What gives them the traction is two things: Softer rubber compounds that stay flexible in cold temperatures, and lots and lots of sipes. Hope that helps.fueler wrote:to be honest i like the rodeo rims better than the pathfinder ones but both sets of tires look like street tread to me? am i crazy?
Nope, it's a 4X4. No point in getting a 2WD SUV up here, with the winters we get. Transfer case/transmission work just fine. Never had a problem.Adnan wrote:i'm assuming your truck is RWD...otherwise your transfer case would of flown to china
