I parked next to a new Avalon yesterday and thought about this thread. It had a beautiful light colored wood wheel matching the dash. Its was striking! But, its was soooooo, Lexus "like."

I've never driven a car with a wood/leather combo wheel but I like the feel of my leather Q wheels.

I could lust after that Lexus wheel, but then if I actually had it I would want the vintage look back. Been there done that with jason's wood dash kit---threw $400 away on the tan interior Q. Put it on--tore it right off.

It looked better in my mind than it did on the car!!!!!

My Mercedes has a wood+leather steering wheel that I put on. It originally came with the all leather wheel. With the Mercedes, I get compliments all the time of how nice the wood looks. You can see it through the windshield. It stands out, gives it a rich warm feeling. It matches the rest of the car's blend of leather and wood, unlike my Q that has 0% wood. Like Bruce and Jesda said, I like the feel of the leather, but I also love the look of the wood. I wouldn't get an all wood steering wheel for the Q, that's for sure.

Here are some pics of what steering wheels and related parts that I've seen in G50s or advertised for the G50:
