Are you talking about the bumper support? What the hell is a parking pole?

It's not 240 specific, so you can use Civic's write up I guess. I used to have it on my first car, but I didn't like it. Car looks clean without it. You will have to drill a hole and run the wire and hook it up with dim light. Is yours go up and down just like radio antenna or stationary one with a light on top?

Got it. If that's the case, yes, you want exact location. I think adrian posted 180sx oprtional parts brochure somewhere and I think I saw it in there.

It tells you where your front bumper is at.

I found that video a long time ago. I didn't search. It was just one of those related videos that I happened to click.

Wait those are to help you parallel park?...

This whole time I thought it was just an antennae with a glow stick to attract e-tards ...

They use them in Japan because everything is so cramped, same reason they have power folding mirrors. It allows the drives to have an idea how close the front of the car is to whatever is in front. It also is supposed to get mounted on the opposite side of the front bumper than the driver. They are also motorized so they can be retracted, like a power antenna. It would not be very hard to install at all. A little drilling, a bit of wiring.

Skill level on 1-10? 2-3? lol if your 12v literate.

Why don't you just practice your parallel parking instead of having a ghey a$$ antenna sticking out of your bumper?

Btw, how is a 240 hard to park?

But whatever, if it came on the silvias I guess you have an excuse.

I'm sure OP knows how to pararell park. Most likely he wants it cuz it's a unique JDM piece. I can see the point though. He wants to put it on exact same location just like JDM 180sx/silvia has. I'd do the same thing if I have to install it on my car. I don't want to drill some radom spot and install.

That's a good point.

This kind of bumper guard comes pretty handy for pararell park. Don't know why this car has only one side.

how often do you parallel park with the curb on the drivers side of the car?

it should be on the passenger side since we drive on the right side of the road. then, when you back in and turn the wheels left to swing in the front of the car, you know where the passenger corner is at so you dont swipe the edge of the car in front of you.

my two cents.
