So you drift? then why do you need a 3k spoiler for the downforce? im soo lost. if ya wanna get real technical most drifters use wide wheels and stretch their tires for the response it provides. just ask dousan and the other godziras. but beware, they havent been fed in quite a long time!

Ja ne.. sayounara.

When you get pics of your car is the day i get picks of my cack then we can both exchange apologies! :rolleyes

i do both. I'm not a very experienced drifter, but i am getting into it and improving. I admit.. i got my 240 to begin with as a track car, purely for autox and laguna seca runs. My rx7 friends got me into drifting by taking me with them to 4ag drift events and making me sit in the car with them while they drifted. I have a few sets of rims with old tires that I use for drifting, then I have lightweight steelies i use for track racing, and bling bling 18" work professor s1's for show. :D by the way.. if anyone is interested in SSR integrals with curb damage on 2 of the rims, or black Sparco NT's with a red lip, I got em up for sale. They even got jdm tires on them too.. i got em straight from the land of the rising sun. =)

SOme pics would be great. I don't understand. You ave all this money to spend to make your car look a little better and want to spend massive amounts on your JDM carbon fiber wing, you have sponsors and race alot, yet you don't have A SINGLE PIC OF YOUR CAR!!

This is why it seems like BS. You have to understand this, and the stupidity in spending that much on something just because it is JDM and paying outrageous shipping rates from Japan. It couldn't possibly be that less functional than you can get in America.

If you have pics, I can host. Also penny pics would also be great, I can go online and find pics of a Ferrari and say it is my car, does that mean that it is? Nope.

If somehow this car is for real, good work on the car.

You know.. I wasnt gonna say anything about this thread BUT..

while explod3's story is nearly un-beliveable.. I'd have to say that you are all a pack of f-ucking morons. Mods ban me for a day if need be. I am SO sick of all this "I'm not rice" CRAP from you people. "I'm cool cuz i dont like wings!" You know, wings do have a practical purpose. They do create downforce, and a wing that costs 1k is a better quality unit that one off of ebay for $99.99.

To the guy that compaired aluminum to carbonfiber, did you ever think is easier to mold CF into a useable shape than it is aluminum?

What a pack of useless.

I live in San Francisco.I can borrow a digital camara from work. Will you take me for a ride arround the block? I'm sure these people here would like to come along ala mpeg/jpeg....Could you send me some info on Leguna Seca track days? Do you go with a club or just on your own?Ahh leguna seca, how I miss you. American Lemans is going to be there 9/5-9/7, up at Sears point 7/25-7/27. Damn those are fun times. Any one here follow Lemans? Watch the Audi R8 dominate all!!! KILL KILL KILL!!!But seriously, we could make an evening out of it. Go grab a brew at Lucky 13 or catch a show at Bottom of the Hill. Tons of fun! I'll even buy you a beer.Steve[email protected]

yeah. i need to get a digital camera. well.. i dont want to spend massive amounts of money on a wing, but like one of the other guys said. if you do something, get it done right. I actually do have a picture of my car, but like you said i could just find a picture off the internet and it doesn't necessarily mean its mine, and plus this is back from when i first got the motor swapped. my car still has the 96 headlights =T

steve: do you know any of the battle swing guys? they're all up in frisco. They're all really great guys and you can learn a lot from them. They're not perfect drifters, but they're pretty darn good for americans =) Hubert.. the guy with the silver skyline r32 was at the de anza autox. I go to laguna seca on the open track days either by myself or with friends sometimes. They have a few days open a month where you pay to drive the whole day. They're ususally booked full for racing events, but on those particular days..(you can check on the website) you can drive however u wish with anything u want. We haven't been going lately because no one has a trailer. My rx7 friends keep blowing their motors and have to have their cars trailered back. I'd be more than happy to take you for a ride sometime if you can meet up with me locally over here. Frisco is a clutch killer. I've already had my flywheel resurfaced twice from ****ty ACT clutches dying on me. I'd also preferr not to put slope miles on my clutch.

just2shy: thanks. =)

Hey explod, no offence when I say this but u said your Japanese and u said "I know japanese people dont pay that much for theirs," but I am Japanese and I get books like option and hyper rev and the stuff there is just as expensive if not more. Anywho just remember "You get what you pay for."

Oh yeah, one more question for you, (once again no offence intended) but u had another post saying youd pay $3000 for altezza lights but u dont want to pay more than $1000 for a spoiler?

I am not taking your side. It is far more likely that you are a liar than not. But i am sick of the way people get treated for asking questions.

yeah and you also see BS body kits in import tuner for like 800 bucks. not that you'd pay that much but thats whats advertised. You dont always pay the price they show. If you're smart and shop around you get good prices. In japan you can get a fully modified skyline r32 for like 10k with a carbon fiber gt wing. Why should I pay 3k for a brand new one?

I still dont understand what is so unlikely. there are TONS of people who are running 240's with high hp and nice body kits. Why is it not likely that I am one of them? you have never seen me nor do you know me. How can u judge me as a liar? I dont even see what advantage i would have by going to a forum where i'm posting about a spoiler and start lying about a car that i dont have.

heres my take, and Im not just being a ****....1- you dont have access to a wind tunnel therefore, you have no way of knowing what spoilers do, and don't, in YOUR application produce more functional downforce, much less know how to streamline you car...although Im sure the canards were strategically placed no doubt, to generate a nice slip stream downforce current.....if you DO happen to have acess to a wind tunell, ignore what I just said, and let me use it.2- Practical application is a GT-race car, not a street car, if you dont run it over 100mph around turns on a road coarse competitively, you dont need it. I'd like to see actual pics, and a dyno for your apllication, and why a simple strealiming of the underside, and some basic body work wasnt sufficient to generate enough downforce.

please dont take it wrong, Im not trying to be mean, but I think you've got "want" and "need" swapped around. if you just WANT the spoiler because you WANT it, then hey, its your money, check out autoimaging(project D), phase-2, and other shops that carry those spoilers and have a ball man. IN fact, I'd support you, I like nice looking cars if they cna pull the wing off, but dont bull**** me and tell me its "practical" thats like saying you bought a SUV for fuel economy.

...I guess that wraps it up.-chetLinks of use for you(just to prove Im not being a complete ****, and am willing to help you)http://www.autoimaging.com/aero.htmhttp ... or...pt=11

explod3: you gotta understand that some people on this board are extremely sceptical and consider themselves elete because they drive a nissan. you'd have been better off not telling them too much about your car. They are soo afraid of rice that they will beat down anything that remotely looks like it. I am not saying you are lying, but even if you were it's no reason for someone to get all upset cuz of the claims you made.

anyways, about your question: I don't know much about spoilers, or quality but check out http://www.takakaira.comI saw all kinds of spoilers there from 400 to 1600.

Exar-Kun. Perfect.(not sarcasm) You seem to disagree with wings on the average car. but you say it correctly, you back it up AND you ANSWER HIS QUESTION.

Everyone please forgive my attitude earlier..
