Well I've been gone for quite some time. I've been pretty busy but have just now started working on my s14 again. Here is just a little update on what I've been up to, and the work I've done on the 240.

My dad painted my grille red (which I wasn't a big fan of) and I put some tape on the headlights to make them look like kouki headlights.

My old rotors were warped/grooved so I got drilled and slotted bremo's

My friends and I bought an 88 mustang lx and a 5.0 to put in.

I went to three rivers MI with a bunch of friends. This was my car for the week. I got to drive it on gingerman raceway. Not the fastest car, but still a lot of fun

Bought lowering springs but after taking out my blown struts we couldnt get them back in, resulting in my car being crippled like this for a few days

My friend spun a bearing in his dsm, you can see the shavings in the pan

Bought solid motor/trans mounts

Replacing rod bearings on the dsm at his uncles shop, lift helps a lot

Rode around in this truck for a while, he's the one working on my car, it's bagged.

This is where my phone died, so no more pics

After this we got the head off, all that's left now is getting the flywheel off then it'll be sent to the machine shop.

I live in Ozark MO but I've been doing most of the work in either springfield or nixa, I decided to keep the KA because It's bigger than an SR and I don't have the money for an RB swap. Also I'm turboing it and you can make quite a bit of power from a stock internal KA.

And yeah that truck is sooooo sweet haha.

I live in springfield, mo. There are a few locals on here. I have a bunch of ka/240 parts if you are needing something hit me up. We should try to get a local 240 meet together. I have a kouki and a s13 coupe. I like where your car is going looks good.

Haha wow, I didn't know there were so many 240 owners around here. My friend used to have a white rb26 hatch, and I know of pauls flat black hx35 ka hatch. I've seen one other s14 and it was red. But yeah, we should def all meet up whenever I get mine done. If you're interested, I'm in a car club that meets at wingstop on battlefield every wednesday at 9.

I know of a few . My buddy adam also has a 97 kouki it is black and has my 350z anniversary wheels on it right now. The light blue silvia fronted s13 coupe is my buddy mikey. There are a few of us running around. Here is a pic of my cars. If you see me flag me down. I will stop thread jacking now. Just send me a pm if you need a hand on your car ever. I am always down to help a fellow 240 guy.

Weird, I've never seen any of those cars around. Yours look really nice though. I'll def send you a pm if I need help, thanks man.

I'm just now getting around to taking the block and head up to the machine shop today. My s14 is my only car so it's tough getting rides to go work on it and then getting rides to get parts, go to work/school, and all that. Hopefully the machine shop won't take long and I can be out on the road breaking everything in soon.

I don't get over to the south side too often. I just bought the s13 coupe last week off an old man that NEVER drove it. Let me know when you get that thing ready and I will see if I can round a couple other 240s up.

Got a call from the machine shop this morning. They are drilling out a broken of exhaust manifold stud from the head, putting new freeze plugs in, and replacing the thing the oil filter screws into, in addition to everything I mention they were doing previously. They said it should all be done by thursday =/ at least I'll have thanksgiving break to work on it. Hopefully have it drivable by monday or tuesday. I still need to buy new fuel lines and some vacuum tubes that got messed up while taking the motor out. I'm really hoping there will be a noticable reliability/horsepower difference on the regasketed motor, with the 248/248 cams in it, along with solid motor/transmounts. I would like to run quicker than 15.6 next time I take it to the track.

Starting to put everything back together. First time the timing was done with the 248/248 cam swap a valve was hitting. But the guy who did the bottom timing had messed it up. So that is being redone now. Head looks brand new. I can't wait to actually drive the car again...

Motor all back together, timing set correctly. The motor is in the car and running. But the clutch slave cyinder popped out. So I'm waiting on a new one. Also the car overheated very quickly when idling and trying to break it in. I have a guy working on it today. Once he gets the overheating problem fixed we will change the oil and have it back on the road. After 500 miles I'll torque it down and change the oil again thens start having some fun! With the cam we put in and the solid motor mounts the car shakes SOOOOO much and is very loud. =( I'm not very happy with this but I knew it was going to be like that. Hopefully if I get any dates sometime soon the girls won't mind hahahaha. Anyways... Feedback is welcome and I'll update soon. Hopefully have a video on tonight.

Mmm OEM comfort! Worth the upgrade or would you now buy brand new OEM mounts?

Haha I'll drive it for a couple weeks how it is and if I can't stand it then I will def get oem mounts haha. I haven't actually driven the car yet to see if the solids are worth it yet.

Not worth it IMO, had solids for a while now. All the vibration and rattling gets tiresome pretty quick, and whats the upside again? Can't really remember

I've been driving the car around some and the vibrations are sooo annoying. I'll def be getting some new mounts. Anyone want to buy some solid motor and trans mounts? Other than the shaking everything is fine except the valve cover is leaking oil into where the spark plugs sit. I'll be getting a new gasket soon.

As a joke I took the radio bezel out of my friends s14 who helped me with the motor. Instead of asking me if I took it, he found my car where I work and pulled a wire out of my dizzy cap so that it wouldn't start. Luckily someone from my work was outside and saw him doing it. I called him and he said he didn't do anything, so I got ahold of one of my other friends and he came down to make sure my car was ok while I was working. It wouldn't start and he calls the kid who did it, after some yelling the kid admits to pulling the wire. After work he calls me, furious, asking if I took the bezel, I say yes that it was a joke and I was on my way to give it back, then I question him about messing with my car. He thinks it was fair and in good fun. I go to his house to pick up my hood. He threatens to call the cops while he's holding my hood hostage and I have already given the bezel back. After more yelling I get my hood and he slams doors. He calls his brother who is serving in iraq. His brother facebook messages me, saying that if I ever show up at his house with my friends again he will find me and "kick my a**" that I had no right to be on his property and steal out of his little brothers car. (we were invited over the day that we took the bezel out of his car)

Sorry for the long story but I had to see if I'm crazy or if his reaction was a little over the top.
