Good day all of you.

I recently bought a floor jack to change my tire on my 11 Rogue. The one I used before wasn't safe and not high enough, but I used to place it where the OEM jack goes, on the frame underneath the door.

Trouble with this specific jacking point, the metal crush a bit using a floor jack, and seems fine only with the OEM jack.

Where should I place the floor jack for easy jacking. I wish to jack the car one wheel at a time and not lift all the front or rear.

If someone has picture to illustrate it would help.

Thanks all for your response.

No one ever ever jacked his Rogue?

Or did you all use the standard jacking point under the door?

While looking under the Rogue I found a metal plate near the front wheel, the rear wheel seems hard to find. Too many plastic under the body.

I'm still looking so if you guys can help me it would greatly help.

What you need is a Rocker Panel Pinch Weld adapter for your floor jack. The normal floor jack has a rescessed cup and when you use it on the rocker panel it only contacts the frame at two points at the sides of the cup and it will crush your rocker panel. You could use a piece of 2 x 4 to spread the load out accross the rocker panel.

I'll go to a store if I can find the adaptor.

The Jack I bought is from Costo, the Torin BlackJack. It only came with a rubber piece so it won't be metal on metal.

Thanks for the tips.

Like I said I did search and did find those jack point.

I didn't want to use those because I don't want to jack all the front or rear at the same time.

Now that I know about the pinch weld adaptor, I'll go this way.

By searching I found about using a hockey puck, did any of you tried it before?

I saw that that site about the hockey puck. I don't use a floor jack much as I usually pick up the entire car to work on it.
