I think there are alot of younger drivers as these cars are getting older and are becoming the family hand-me-down vehicle. No offense to the younger owners, but you were not the target market for this vehicle.

BTW, I'm 35 and my son will probably be driving the J in a few years when he gets his license. (He's 13 now.) Oh, and my daughter has informed me that she wants my Durango (with the 360 ci V8 in it.) lol

Send me an e-mail if you still need them.I'll be junking my '96 in a month or two. (my '96 has a Permanent Alignment problem + noisy timing chain + body work needed. Otherwise great).

(Too bad I have to junk my '96, because the engine in the 96 is noticably stronger than the '95 which I currently drive. I think there's supposed to be a 15 hp difference between those two years, but I'm not well researched on the specs).

I bought my '96 when I was age 35.I bought my '95 this year at age 38.

No car has ever come close to making me this happy.

I got my J about an year ago when I was 27. The J is my first car because I had to support myself and my family when I was at school. I love my J so much because I earned cold/hard cash for it

I'm 21, and if I could sell this car, I would. I think it's sorta grandpa-like. It is nice for cruising on the highway, though.

-- Stop worrying what all the kids say, if they are calling your car crap they probably aren't your friends. They sound spoiled, if I was you I'd try not to be like them, be thankful for what you have, which includes a ginormous siggy.

personally im 24 and ive owned my 94 for almost 2 years now...before that i had a 95 that i owned for 2 years until it met a concrete barrier on the interstate doing like 85...these cars are great for all ages...they might not be the best compared to an 06 m45 or a new bmw 3series but theyll always be better than a new saturn or kia....although there arent many aftermarket parts out there and it is starting to get pricy fabricating all the things i want for it in the long run i know it will be worth it as long as i take care of it....personally i wouldnt care what any of my friends said because it suits me and my personality and im happy with it and thats all that matters....plus if i really did care what they said i would probably be driving a big jacked up truck....you know how those texans are with there trucks...LOL...do what makes you happy nala...good luck to you...

I agree. The J is an awesome car. Its like the older version of the new M (I want the 08+ M45 as my next car)

-- I'd say it's more akin to the '03 M45, looks wise anyways, that's what I want as my next DD, and I should def. be able to afford one in a year or two, possibly sooner if I refinance me mortgage. I don't like the huge rump and super high belt line on the new gen M's, also I've heard of them being unstable at high speeds, something about the back end swaying or shaking. Be glad you've got a good 'ol Infiniti, from back when men were men and bread was fresh.

i completely agree stevieray, the '03 M45 is definately next on my list...once i get this wedding and honeymoon paid for...im going to keep the J though and im going to fix it up a little at a time...the fabrication is endless but i know once im done it will be worth it...your definately right about the new M's though, however i DO like the rims on the sport package...i almost put them on my J...maybe i still will...sorry for the rant i just felt like commenting

-- Congrats, I'm currently saving for our wedding and honeymoon as well, it's in May, how bout you? I too plan on keeping my J once I get a new daily, prolly for a project car, the problem is I only have a one car garage, but I think a turbo'd VH41 or VH45 swap along with a MT & some major weight reduction (remove interior, spare tire, trim, etc.) would make my J something you don't see everday at the track. The new M sport rims are fly, I agree, but would they fit w/o spacers? My G35 17s bolted right up and I scored them on Craig's for 50 bux ea. I'll admit it was an impulse buy but I've had zero remorse, she looks more aggresive and ten years younger. BTW my monitor is old and dark what kinda rims are those? Any brake upgrades?

The V8 was the same as in the Q45 of the J30's manufacturing years

the rims just happen to be some no name brand that i saw and bought on impulse as well...no regrets like u said though...our wedding is March 1st...i think that if you were to put the JDM v8 into a j with a MT would be definately something extraordinary...personally i love the 3.0L so im just going to stick with what ive got so far...once i have the REAL cold air intake and headers fabricated and put in im going to do the injectors, cams, and port an polish the head...luckily i know a guy in Austin who will reprogram my ECU for me according to my specs without sacrificing the daily drivability...as far as the 19's from the M it would be a really tight fit...i wasnt patient enough to find a decent set so i wasnt able to see what it would look like or whether or not i would need a spacer but several people ive spoken to have informed me that they were 1/2'' to wide...good luck with your upcoming wedding and honeymoon....as far as the brakes are concerned i havent upgraded them yet but i plan to as soon as i can find someone to build me a custom suspension set up...the way i see it...if i dump about another $5000 in my J before the summer she'll be where i want it....i was told today by a buddy of mine that they could "lambo" all 4 doors and bag it for $4500...parts and installation alltogether...but im not sure i want to go that route just yet...i told him i wont even consider doing that until after all my motor work is done(if it ever will be-lol)...then maybe i could put those 19's on it and see how it would look...either way ill keep ya posted...
