from what i looked at a spacer wont work. even a 1.5-2 incher might cause binding.

We thought about shimming the flange so it would angle away, but this would lead to the frontpipe possibly not mating up correctly with the rest of the exhaust and would be a fairly mediocre fix. Neither of us liked knotching the dp because it would not allow for very much clearance if any, and would also be a mediocre fix.

I had seen a skyline with a custom titanium exhaust system that was done it all angle cuts for the bends, and I brought up this idea which worked out since we had a welder, Hybrid can weld, and we had no access to a mandrel bent 3" pipe locally. Hybrid really worked his magic on it considering the cast dp didn't crack, it fits very well, and it still doesn't leak.

I'm sure some hot rod shop could do something similar with your setup.


I'd pass on the spacer if I was you.

yea not even gonna waste time on it, i found a shop that will do it but they want to see the car first (obviously) and its ****ing hard because im in phoenix and the car isnt!

havent been back to tucson.

i got next weekend off and have an appointment on saturday to have my o2 housing made along with a 3" turbo back.

so next sunday night ill give everyone a big update

till then, nothing :)
