So after having this super duper long streak of nothing but awesomeness happening to me, I finally got my big fat "EFF YOU!" card from life in the mail. It hit me like a Australian Rugby player wearing a steel toed boot kicking me right in the nards. I was more or less expecting it to happen, but not like this. Involved me, the girlfriend, and her parents. Total suck. Word from the wise, find privacy.

My parents flipped out over a year ago about a hickey and a mistaken looks-like-she-was-getting-in-my-lap thing... still don't let me go to gf's houses or vice versa... even girls who are JUST FRIENDS... sucks majorly. I was a month short of 16 at the time, she was 15... I dunno... I think it's ridiculous to assume kids won't do anything (particularly since you're around 18, I assume?) and even more insane to actually enforce ridiculous rules. If you don't want your kids doing something, teach them that young, but realize that stuff will happen. As long as the kids were taught right, it will stay away from dangerous stuff... I wish I could just go to a girl's house, freaking ridiculous...

Sorry about the drama man. If there is any bright side of the situation, it is this.... Girls who have super restrictive parents like that are 99.9% of the time the same girls who turn into freaks. What her mom and dad don't realize is that by trying to repress her, they are just making her want it even more. It's a proven fact that whatever you try to resist, persists.

Well it's not just that. We both have pretty high morals. I'm really really serious with this girl. She's everything I've ever wanted in a woman and more or less my equal. She's the EXACT type of person I want to marry. And I plan on doing so. She's underaged for about 2 years. At least I'm not NICO's new child molestor.

Nope, that's the frame you want to put around it.
My intention by bringing up what I brought up was to point out that Bush has strong support among the religious right and other conservative organizations who want to squelch my freedoms, and try to get me to conform to their oppressive religious beliefs.
With regards to this thread, what is happening is perfectly normal. Parents get scared when their kids start growing up and experimenting with things that can severely impact the direction that their lives take. I'm all for responsible sex. Yet I'm in the 'minority' on that one. Your average American is pretty scared of sex, and brainwashed into thinking they're going to get an STD if they screw someone they don't love.
At least, that's my perception of middle America. I'm really just a nut living in Cali, so what do I know about what the rest of the world is burdening themselves with?
It's not that we're afraid of STD's or anything seeing as neither one of us has one or three. It's our choice to be abstinent and such for religious reasons. She doesn't want to have sex until marriage and I respect that fully.
She talked to her dad, he forgives her and such but I need to talk to him now and apologize like there's no tomorrow. I still have no idea what to say to him. Imagine yourself walking in on your daughter and her boyfriend almost naked wrestling each other and hands in places they shoudln't be.

Just make sure to remind him over and over in the conversation that you have made what the two of you consider to be the responsible, and morally right decision to be abstinent until marraige. If she's 16, things will change over the next couple years (or months), but deal with the situation at hand now and get back in the good with her parents.
eh it's understandable why her dad is mad, it sounds like he thought you 2 were just good friends (foul on you and the girl if you hadn't let them know you were together), and maybe felt a little betrayed, but more so, shocked to see his little girl being touched in such ways. You could have been the same age and openly dating for a 2 years, he probably still would have been pissed to walk in on that.
