I keep getting a knock sensor code with my 95 240sx (ka24de). I have put in the 10Mohm resistor on the plug to trick the ECU in thinking the knock sensor was fine and still get the code. I have checked the knock sensor and it checked in at around 10Mohm. I even found which wire is on the ECU plug for the knock sensor and ran a 10Mohm from that to the ECU ground wire. went for a 20min drive and still had the code. I am lost about where to check next, If the 10Mohm resistor trick is not a good test then what should I try next? I did the "Beep" test with the multimeter and the ground wire on the knock sensor plug goes to Ground and the Signal wire goes back to the ECU plug. Tested to see if the signal wire could be grouned and did not get any Beeps from the multimeter. So if anybody know anything else to try, please let me know.

Since you replied I will give you an update. I replaced the knock sensor and it fixed the issue. I guess we can but the resistor theory to rest, it does not work. After I replaced the knock sensor, I have midrange power back, and I now longer get error code 34.
