guys alot of it depends on where your weight is. 40lbs in the front of the car is alot in comparison to 40lbs in the rearwhere the tank is. especially in a car that needs to handle. then you take in to conciderarion if its weight infront of the front crossmember or behind it. i would rather loose 40lbs off the front of my car than 150 out of my back seat. it all depends on where the weight is

yes i agree its not worth choosing an engine over. but don't argue loosing 40 lbs or not ever filling your tank above half full to warrent the heavier engine either
