Hey everyone new on Nico so howdy all! Unfortunately for me and mostly all the S13's here, I live in Toronto. Now we all know how rotten our floors and frame rails are up here I believe mostly due to salt in the winters... Now I have found a S13 for sale for $1000 bucks and there is a bit of a problem. There are 2 big patches of rust on the floors and Im basically looking for comments or opinions on how difficult or if its even possible to fix this. My last S13 got so very rotten that I had to part her out, so the only reason I am considering this is because the rest of the car is MINT. Firewall is perfect, strut towers are perfect absolutely no rust in the engine bay, wheel wells are good but the only part are these two horrific spots. And the rest of the rails are good.Time for pics:

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Woot I hope so. I have a buddy whose dad has welded tons of cars before so I dont have to pay for labour. What did you use to do yours? Just sheet metal cut out old and weld in new?

depends if you have the means to do it yourself

or have a good friend you trust

replacing floors/ rust repair isnt all that tough (unless your doing outer body panels people are going to see)

its just expensive

Yeah I figured so. But like I said before my good friends dad can do the welding for me. So just paying for parts and a little bit of labour and some beer is way better than taking it to a shop. I even got the guy who is selling to drop the price cause of those rust spots. . I'll post up some pics when I pick her up next week.

That frame rail looks to be on its way you too. Fixable thought if you have the means.

Yeah and it sucks how this happened on both sides. The guy whose selling it wouldnt have fixed it and kept telling me to just rustproof it and it wont get any worse. hopefully its not too rotten but I'm willing to save her since it only these spots and I don't want to see another S13 rust away
