Is my flywheel OK?

I attempted to fit my flywheel and did not get it flat down before turning the bolts. So the bore has been carved slightly.

sand off that ridge and refit, just make sure its flat when you bolt it down.

Or just replace it. they're not too expensive and pulling the transmission again cause it doesn't work after you spend 3 hours putting the whole thing back together will ruin your whole day.

I would be very cautious sanding the center bore. That is what centers the flywheel, and if it does not fit tightly, it could spin off balance, which will cause all sorts of problems.

Thats a tiny amount of metal that has been removed from the center bore, its not going to effect anything. You still are going to have a good amount of the center section that will still fit perfectly on the crank.

I would use a curved file and go slowly until you removed the burr.

The flywheel is not going anywhere once its bolted, locktigted and TQed down.

Next time, try throwing the flywheel in the oven at about 200 degrees. It will make the metal grow and it will slip on easily, just make sure to use gloves.
