I just bought a 2001 QX4, very nice SUV..
I found it has a problem ,, the driver side door is really hard to open/close, and making strange noise. sounds like the the door hinge is too dry, and the lock hook is not at the right position.
same thing happened on my I35 and G20 before, maybe the infiniti using the same door hinge on different cars, so, all models has same issue ( like toyota did)

anyone had the same problem before? how can I solve this? Do I need to buy the new hinge to put on/ adjust the hook?
please give me an advise.

Thanks

You can try lubricating locks & hinges per this thread. Don't know about the lock hook, though.

not only sounds dry,
every time I close the door, I feel the door is a bit lower than it should be, and door needed to claim up to lock on the hook.

I would suggest checking to make sure none of your hinge bolts are loose or hinges visibly crooked in comparison to your passenger door's hinges, then. If they're bent I suppose you'll have to obtain a replacement.
