It is the (alas, seldom enforced) law in most states to stay out of the inside lane unless you are passing.

Don't ever go to Germany, as you will be causing a fatal accident if you are not ticketed first. A good rule is that if someone wants to go faster than you do, pull over and let them by. After all, they'll get the ticket up ahead and give you plenty of warning.

For the good driver, it's a courtesy and safety issue, not an ego issue.

I enjoyed my drive through Wisconsin a few years ago.

ahhh I see you mentioned good old "Miami"....well they did not film the Fast & Furious Part II here for nothing. I do in a very graceful manner give 3 quick warning flashes and then another 3 quick flashes. If no good...then I move my big arse over and just keep it moving. I can relate to the your comment about others not wanting to be the leader...I have a friend like that does this and it drives me nuts. He has no balls....

Where in the above was it stated I don't let people by? This is not Milan or Trieste. I agree with your good rule, never disagreed. Objectivity, not subjectivity. Grasshopper.

Ahh, and some of us have driven all over that great fishing state of Wiscon. From DC to Haywood all the way up in the Northern part of the State ehh. Muskee fishing.... Anyway I've driven all over from the Dells to Lacross to Haywood to Milwaukee and have not had incident to say one way or the other. I can say I drove faster there then pretty much anywhere accept NC and AZ.

College kids and younger folkes cause the most problems because they have never been outside thier state and don't know how to act on the road.

Tearing up through Al Capones hideout and all the indian reservations was great fun and I saw more bears crossing the road then I saw Cops patrolling it.

I'm sorry what were we talking about........

A few years ago a traffic bill was proposed in the state legislature that a law be passed that would prohibit "parking" in the left lane (that which impedes traffic); this was coupled with another proposal that would prohibit trucks over a certain gross weight from using anything other than the right lane (except for passing) as well as a speed limit restriction for those same trucks (55mph). It was defeated.

Gosh, a state that is more retarded than WA! Here, both are the unenforced law. Some times it is even signed, but alas, only in English.

Let's start a fund to send all new WI and WA drivers to Deutschland to drive for the first two years of their license. The ones that return will be very good compared to who's out on the Interstates today.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45
