well, people do get them for style right?
I mean, i've seen a guy with a 240 with an aluminum wing with nothing done to his car.
on any car that goes at high speeds, you will feel the down force from a aluminum wing or a fiberglass wing.
And I've seen a best motoring video done on the civic type r in track racing, with an aluminum wing it gives down force in turns, but when he did a track run without it, he lost down force, which he spun out on a hard turn.
but plainly, people get em for style. Its done to many cars, honda or nissan or toyota or mazda.
When i first started hookin up my car, the term rice didnt mean a crappy car, it meant a Japanese car. Asians eat rice, an asian made car was called a "rice rocket" or "rice burner".people used to have these powered by rice stickers or got rice stickers.
if you look at all the rice pages, usually its guys that own domestics poking fun at imports (mainly) and the cars that try to be like them. Now anything that people dont like can be rice. "Hey that guy with the 240 has nismo body graphics and nothing nismo, his car is rice."
everyone has their own style when it comes building a car.
your honda civic ex guy might make some dumb *** comments, which is what you get from people that dont know much, but having an aluminum wing doesnt say you have to have 400 hp monster. I think its more a style choice than a "performance" mod. True an aluminum wing might be more helpful on a RWD car, but like i said, its the dude's car, i aint gonna trip on that. I wouldnt trip on you if you did that to a stock 240.
