i happen to drive both domestic and import. I generally dont hate on domestic, but frankly the bulk of domestic cars are either boring or not to my taste. I like things that can turn, and turn well. There arent a whole lot of american cars that do this.Now, i drive a Z06, so i know us car makers *can* make such a car if they want to, at a price that leads the market. but they dont, because a 10K cheaper mustang that can go just a fast in a straight line will sell better. nevermind that it gets left for dead on a road course. if i could get a 3000 dollar domestic car that had the decent suspension setup that the 240 does, i might just be driving one of those. but there isnt such a car.i looked at fbody cars, theyre rwd, right? but live rear axle? plz, we're not in the 60's anymore. fords new cobra has a better setup, but its a ford. and i dont like fords. grrr. now, the Z06 and the new ford GT clearly were made to do their $hi#, if only GM and Ford could let this kind of tech trickle down to other cars, and maybe even produce some cheap, fun RWD cars. And no, i dont consider the new GTO cheap. its really big too. -Enzo

BTW: properly lowering a car gives it more downforce than one of those wings. and it looks better too.

just cause a guy has a import or domestic doesnt mean it has to be fast. I think thats ignorant to say. People have ideas what they want to do to their cars, agreed right? That means if he wants to spend money on a wing, his money, not mine. Just cause someone has a 240, doesnt mean everyone has to go out and get an sr20det or an rb25dett.
People are gonna do what they want to their cars, ugly or not.
ON EURO LIGHTS. People laugh at them and talk about them. I personally dont like em (okay a few of them look good) but you have to understand there is a bigger picture.
Alot of import cars dont have the huge aftermarket of a Honda. So when people buy a corolla (93 +) or a 98 Maxima or any other import that doesnt have people jumping on the bandwagon, these cars have very few/limited aftermarket.
Some of these companies realize there is a market for these cars, they make some stuff. Such as Euro lights. I seem them on alot of maximas.
Depends on who you talk to, people think that angel eyes or projects are rice/cheap. Well, I think they are kool and for a sentra or 200sx to have them, looks good.
my question is why hate it when there's nothing you can do about it. Just worry bout your car not the guy who wants a "fast and furious skyline or supra", when he hits 18.

back on topic, the whole import/domestic thing is played (and tragically so). asian car manufacturers make awesome cars and they make junk. same for australian, european, and american. it's a part of life. personally, i love cars from all parts of the globe for various reasons. no need for me to tout "import superiority" or "american pride". if a car is nice, it's nice. no matter where it's from. i prefer a lightweight, front engined, rear wheel drive car w/responsive handling. however, toss me the keys to a saleen, and i WON'T toss them back.
same thing w/bently, mistu evo VI, SW20 MR2, Z06, M5... u get the picture. i don't find it necessary to hate on something else to feel better about what i like or what i drive, but that's just me...:icesangel-

Well, i am more into the japanese cars, I just think they are stylish and have a good aftermarket (depends which cars) to hook up your car for performance or looks.
see, for me i'm not into the ff vs rwd or any of those stupid rivalries.
But I do support an "Import Unity". A mutual respect about cars. FF, RWD, AWD, show, race, drift, auto x, rally, drag, road racing, jdm, "american style tuning", Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, US, Canada, Russia, Philippines, Malaysia, Australia.......all places, all styles, all cars.
