This goes along with apple's mantra as of late. Why would I want a computer/phone/media player/tablet, that I can't modify, or improve or change the battery for goodness sakes. Apple used to stand against the evil that was Microsoft, now they are one in the same.
Totally agreed there. Now I do disagree slightly on the tablet, but just due to personal preference. After doing my research and testing out quite a few tablets, i've found that I do prefer for my tablet to be simple. Mainly because I just want to be able to pick it up and start browsing, playing a game, watch a video, or whatever. The iPad does this better than anything that i've laid my hands on and that's not from a fanboi perspective, that's from a geek perspective
I'm still not a fan of Android tablets at all, the battery life is sub-par and I just don't love their tablet version of the OS yet.
My other issue is their pricing point, since most GOOD Android tablets are priced very close to the iPad. I think this was HP's downfall too with the Touchpad... stepping into an iPad market, expecting to get the same amount of money for theirs. You can eventually, but if you want to sell them, you should sell it at a much lower pricing point to begin with. Most people see the iPad as the superior device in that market, while that's not entirely true, they have to convince people that theirs is better. Selling at a similar pricing point isn't going to help with that, because just like I did: "Oh, so the Samsung Galaxy Tab(or Motorola Xoom, HTC Scribe, ect) is the same price as the iPad? Well I think I would rather have the iPad, it has more apps and better support."
