My old car ( a '90 hatchback) caught on fire the other day. The damage isn't too bad, but since I called my insurance company, they want to total the car out. I'm not 100% sure what caused it, just glad I got out before things got really bad. It started at my exhaust and was heading for my gas tank, so I think it might have been caused by a faulty catalytic converter (?). But I want to pick up another 240, preferably a coupe.numbnuts240 wrote:previous car? what will you be looking for? your intro is lacking substance, give me something to work with here.
You never quit do you? The guy just got here and you expect him to just whip it out?numbnuts240 wrote: give me something to work with here.
You might just be the only worthwhile thing to ever come from Iowa.Rachie24 wrote:Hi!
I'm new to this forum as well and have never owned a 240 but am looking to as I've been driving a slow crapbox (98 Mazda Protege) far too long, more out of necessity than anything which has made me die a little inside. I want to learn to work on my own car and be able to do my own modifications to the motor and whatnot and have heard the 240 is a great car to do that with. My first car was an '88 300ZX which made me partial to Nissans and I want to get back to owning one, just not one that is quite so heavy.

A girl wanting to learn how to work on cars (that isn't being pressured into it by her bf) is a pretty rare thing. Many-a-NICO relationship have started with a post like yoursRachie24 wrote:Hi!

J lak, why you gotta be thread jacking like that?Lak_Attack wrote:I are new to this forum also. I don't drive a Nissan currently but if anyone knows of a good deal on a clean s13 coupe lmk. will trade straight up for my 2005 wrx if you make it seem like a good enough deal.
Well, my fiance is a car person too, he's into RX-7s but I've always wanted to learn to work on my own car and the cars I've had up until this point weren't anything I've been excited or dedicated to enough to actually want to work on them. I'm also a little competitive and what would be better than smoking my fiance at the track with something I built with my own two hands? Bragging rights? Yes!PapaSmurf2k3 wrote:Welcome both of you!

NICO has a ton of information that can be viewed by using the search button, but don't be shy to post any questions you might have. There is also a "newbie" thread in the 240 section dedicated specifically to new members and any type of question.
Whoops, I should really look into the rules, my bad for not doing so. I started my own thread, thanks for the heads up!Dattebayo wrote:lol
Make your own thread girlie. You totally jacked this one.
I actually forgot Iowa was a state until you posted tho...
