Im glad that problem hasnt came to indiana yet (you'd think itd have been here first, damn rednecks) Just the other day I with some other friends got started in a convo with some muscle guys that hang out downtown Indianapolis, one of my friends invited one of the muscle guys to race me. All the guys asked what was done to it, and asked if I put down 12s, 11s, 10s, unfortunatly I had to say no to all of those but for them to not think Oh its just a lowly import, and actually believe it has power was a shock to me. I use to have a 94 camAro (yes its CAMARO, not CAMERO) and I was on the other end of the whole domestic vs. import, never thought I'd be where I'm at now.

There was a guy in town with a big blinged out Exploder (explorer)with lame *** flows and rims and **** and decided that my car wasn't fit to pass him. Kinda like what the bad guy does on cops, so I did the ricey thing and downshifted into second and blew past him. Unfortanutaly, he was at the same stop light and was taunting for a race. So I said whatever and we shot off at the light and I was pulling on him like, right after the launch. I quit at about 60, 70 mph when he came alongside and was being a prick asking me how much money i had to spend to get my "gay Nissan" to go that fast. At the time, it was stock, so I broke him the truth. He got mad, turned up his system and drove away. That didn't have a hell of a lot to do with the whole import muscle thing, but he dfinitely underestimated the import.

i too was on the other side of the fence once. at one time, i would ONLY buy V8 rear drive american. but, i graduated high-school and got alot of cash and wanted something really fun to drive. found a ford probe, i knew it was FWD, but i thought it would be okay as i would stay in the domestic realm. boy was i wrong, i later found it was mazda powered and it opened up my eyes to so many other things. bought a turbo GT probe and got even deeper into it. now, i am a lover of all cars. i like everything, it makes things easier that way. although, someday i may return to my american iron roots, but right now, this import thing is fun :)
