Just different positions. They read oxygen levels at the different stages of exhaust. Heres a pic.

the picture doesn't work for me. i dunno why but i can't see those attatchments or whatever. i'm just curious as to why there's a price difference. do one of those two o2 sensors mount on an o2 housing?

Here, try this link.http://www.midwaypartsteam.com...TPN=1

The O2 sensors will screw into a direct link to the exhaust through either the manifold or the pipe in different positions. Each sensor has a different function. The closest one to the engine will monitor the exhaust readings at a rich state of dioxyde and the further from the engine you get, different sensors are needed to read different oxygen states. Im not really a mechanic but maybe you can ask NISTECH on the engine or car specific boards more detail. Since each sensor has a different function, they are required to be different sensors. Each O2 sensor relays readings to the ECM and is monitored/regulated by it. (Im starting to sound like Cliff Clavin now...I need to stop trying to explain this.)

I dont have a definite answer what makes each sensor different but I know that they are different sensors. Why one is more than the other, I cant really specify the differences in make but apparently, it costs more for Nissan to make the one sensor over the other.

Do you know which sensor is bad?

Try doin a search here at NICO on swaping that O2. What benefits are there to changing to a 300z O2 sensor?

there aren't any benifets that i know of. i just need an o2 sensor for my ca18det because i can't buy oem parts for it stateside, so i need to find other parts that'll do the same job. i just need an o2 sensor that will screw into my o2 housing behind the turbo and do its job i tried asking in the ca18det forums which o2 sensor i need but now no one is talking about it or answering me. so i dunno.

Then your local dealer is quoting 25% off list. That could be helpful to the other members of NICO that live in your area if you let them know about this dealer. I show the list price at $53.87 which is what I sell it for on my retail counter. Thanks for asking though. Im here for any other questions you may have.

I have a lead on an O2 sensor for the ca18det. What year and make is that engine out of?

I hit the mark pretty close on the shipping. I was off by about 66 cents. Tell you what. I'll ship the correct hood bumpers with free shipping. Just put this conversation in the comment box when you order to remind me.

Havin a tough time tracking this down. That engine is imported and I dont have catalogs for Japanesse make cars like the 180sx. I'd keep checkin on the Tech boards. Someone in these forums has had a similar problem like yours.

Hitman was just in the store and I mentioned your situation to him. He seems to think any O2 that fits and has the same connector will work. Dunno. I'd keep tryin the tech boards, myself.

Not sure if you guys check this link or not anymore. But I'm looking for the whole dash(like where the passenger airbag sits) since I bought my 95 240sx in an insurance auction with both airbags deployed I'm in need of a new dash. Is this the correct part I'm looking for?

http://www.trademotion.com/par...gid=2

Someone wants 400 for a black dash and airbag in your area and I'm considering it if I can't get it cheaper. Help?

850 bucks isn't happening anytime soon for me.. I found a black used dash off an S14 in Arizona I'm going to try and get for half...

But there is a couple pieces I still need for my car. If I hadn't bought this car for 2k, there's no way I'd have been able to justify the expense it will be costing me lol

edit: Okay I need the center console plastic piece for the shifter since I'm going to be swapping to a 5spd from an Automatic. I'm not sure exactly what pieces are needed there. I'll post a couple of links though of where I think I'm at.

Am I missing anything else? Nobody else is selling them used. Also, because of the swap I'm doing, I will need an S14 m/t driveshaft because the 5spd swap I'm getting is from an S13. I browsed your site but got a little side-tracked as to what I needed there. (this project gets expensive on matter what i do)
