Just need to heat up the vinyl so that it forms to the contour of the piece and cut out whatever you don't want hidden.mexillis wrote:So how are you guys placing the stuff around the radio memory buttons.

Where did you find those volume/tuner knobs? They looks great! I think they would look amazing in Robert's car with the brushed aluminumBlack_Mx wrote:"Post pictures if anybody have any"

"You can do it!!" How much vinyl did you buy or do you think it will take for the job? Would 2 yards be enough to get everything without really fighting it? Did you go carbon fiber or what? Ive been looking at them and im debating between the 3M anthracite carbon fiber or the new 3m brushed steel which is like a darker brushed aluminum look. Post some pics and tips as soon as you can please as Im debating doing it myself or just paying the $60-100 in labor to have someone do it for me. Has it been easy to remove the wood pieces without damage? Also did you have to use some type of primer/promoter on the wood to make it stick better, It seems like half the places ive talked to said i would need to and half said no. I dont want to ruin the wood underneath just in case i remove it down the road. Thanks and sorry for all the questions.06M4.5 wrote:vinyl came in last night and I started to take some parts off to see if I can do it myself.
So far I have wraped 2 parts and hope to have a few more done to day.
need to see if I can take the center control panel apart(remove everything)
