thats what I want to do. I wish we could get one of our UK guys to put one of thier 4 port heads on the flow bench so we could have some numbers to compare. I'm going to do mine in the next month or so...

Not yet, dont think I will.

It's really not that much of a major mod, just some tidying up.

If I went to town on them, then I think I'd consider it.

Anyway, I've found each port on the manifold takes about an hour to get right.

Anyone else got any tips or pics??

That means it'll take half the time with a 4 port than a 8 port right? j/k :D

Wouldn't that be nice.

All up I estimate the 8 port manifold will take about 16 hours to do properley. As the 2 part manifold has so many ports to clean up.

I too would be interested to see flow results of a 4 port.

I'm simply shaving down any pronounced ridges and cleaning up the "Y." Take your time, don't work for a mirror finish on the intake side :D

I'm not going for a mirror finish, just match porting the manifolds to each other and then to the head. Just takes time to get it right.

with a big enough turbo and some cams the flow on the intake and head are goin to only add up to fractions of HP. there are better yeilding mods for the money that this tedious non needed work will cost.

You suck.... JK! I kinda understand. Are the #'s for the 8 port head? I've got a friend with one, so I can have it done for free, so I'm not too worried about it, but I'd be willing to hand over a few bucks to see the results on the 4 port...

A whole lot of hoop-la for not a whole lot in return.

The car is off the road whilst a new exhaust manifold is coming from OS, dont have much to do on the car other than this and put some head studs in. Other than that the rest of the engine has already been done. It runs a GT25 turbo, some slightly larger cams, head porting, large FMIC, bigger injectors, throttle body, internals etc.

This is a low cost thing, although time consuming that will hopefully improve the overall engines breathing and output. I'm not aiming for 40hp or anything, but 5-10 would be nice. It was cheap, time consuming, however I have a bit of spare time before the rest of the bits I've ordered come together.

BTW - If anyone does have any flow bench results on the 8 port head (STOCK) and you're happy to share, email [email protected]

I'm thinking of getting mine done after I've reasssembled it for a comparison.

Cheers

Simon
