I am seriously considering putting in a spacer and a MotoDyne MRVE 2 on my 2006 G35. All the research that I've done gives the impression that both are very easy installs. First question is, are there instructions on the site that shows the combination being installed (I couldn't find it). 2, I am a radiologist and not a mechanic but I did manage to intall a z tube and pop charger, is this as easy as it looks? 3, did anyone have any problems hidden or otherwise during the install. And 4,The benefit of this install is obvious but was it worth it?

Doesn't look to hard, long as you have a 10mm socket.

Not hard to do... just time consuming due to the amount of bolts and nuts and screws...I think theres like 30.

Whatever you do, DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!!! You will crack the spacer.

If you can't find the instructions anywhere... let me know and I'l see if I still have mine somewhere.

Thanks all, good links. I think I will buy a torque wrench for the install. Now for the dumb questions, what does this mod do to the warranty and do you use sealant on the spacer as bean suggested? I saw another thread contraindicating the sealant. And do you think this mod is worth it

It does nothing to the warranty, unless they can prove that the spacer itself, caused a malfunction.

As far as the RTV sealant, I used a very thin line. If you put it on too thick, you could potentially have some problems, but it is unlikely. If you use it really thin, it just provides a great seal between the plenum and the spacer. I used it on both sides of the spacer.

Also, think about it like this, if you have any difference in thickness in the spacer, or if the plenum isn't perfect, the RTV will fill in those spaces, and make a perfect seal.

I will strees the fact that a very thin bead should be used. Overkill is not beneficial.

Any comments on the mod itself? If you've done this double mod, did you feel it was worth the money. Was the gain in hp and tq noticeable? Do you also have a pop charger and did that add even more?

I put the popcharger on before the spacer. All I noticed out of the popcharger, was a better sound.

The spacer made a noticable difference. Not sure how much, but it at least felt like some HP gains were made.

I've done both mods and it's definitely worth it!! Sound/Power noticeably increased. Also, I did not use any sealant on the spacer. It really doesn't need it as it's just a thick gasket.

Thanks Joe, good to know, I noticed the bean had some red trickle coming out of the plenum...

This is the next mod on my list, thanks!
