I don't know if anyone else noticed, but in the photos you posted with the fogs on and off, take a closer look. The foreground with the fog lights on are great. But at 60 mph, how much is being able to see 20 feet in front of your car going to help you? You'll have about 0.227 seconds to respond.

Now look into the distance in front of where the light is casting onto the garage door. Notice the ground is darker there? There is no less light being cast there by your car's lights, but the camera is compensating due to the additional foreground light. The method between a camera and human eye responding to light is a bit different, but the effect is similar. Too much foreground light will cause your pupils to contract and your distance vision will be reduced. Fog lights are designed for fog. Don't expect fog lights to perform like driving lights. Their beam patterns are not suited for normal driving, let along high speed driving.

Installed PIAA GTX Plasma Foglights too... (H4's) 04 G35 Coupe...did it without taking the tires off....took about 1 1/2 hours the first time and then about 45 min on the other side. Saw were the dealer charges $250 for the labor...now I see why. It was worth the time.....here are some pics.

With PIAA Lights installed

Without Lights installed....

I don't want to sound repetitive but would like to know myself if indeed the lights on the sedan (I have a G/35 '04 Sedan) would be able to be changed and if so would it still be the same steps as with the coupe' (cou pay)

Hey Gdubya35, yes you should be able to change the lights too....just check for the correct bulb. The process should be the same. I didn't remove the wheel, but it would have made the process much easier. You have to take off the fender well splash guard. But it makes a huge improvement in the looks of the lights!!!

Hey WESIDE...thank you for the nice job.

Hey psedog, can you give me a part number for your fogs if you have one,or know the name off the top of your head. I know you said those were the 160w bulbs right? Gonna go look later to see what model bulb the 03 coupe users when I get up.

Crash, I can't find the box right now, but I can tell you this, they don't make my specific bulbs anymore, or at least I can't find them online. These are as close as you are going to find.H1http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

Make you a deal...I will put the word out to the powers that be if you can put together an article on how to do this. The thread as is, is way to messy to turn into a sticky now.I will see what I can do about getting you a Custom title (you come up with a suitable name) for the effort.

let me know!

I have one other question. What kind of bulbs are in the corner. Like the one strip light we have in the main head light housing. I want a bluish color that was in the one pic. Just curious what bulb it was.

Thanks G_whizz. For the time being I have been so busy that I can rarely get on here lately. If anyone else would like to pull some info on this please do so. I wont be hating. In the meantime I may be able to put something together by next weekend. By the way, Can we no longer upload photos to the site? Till next time Wes

No prob Mr. Wes... there are sooo many members and Photos that we're being loaded up here I think they we're having a problem with the servers or something. So you can post pics from places like I-serve or Photobucket

Whatever you can do or whenever... I understand we all have life outside NICO.This go's for ALL members here. Should you come up with writing an article or a major contribution that will help out all members here it may earn you a Custom Title of your choice...as long as it's suitable. geez...maybe I can even get NICO swag from the Bossman. (that's not a promise...but I would try)

Okay if anyone can tell me if this is correct. The clearance strip is a t10 bulb,or a 194/168 bulb for the clearance strip light. The fog light I have no idea what that is. It says in the manual it's an hb2? Don't think I've heard of those? If anyone can tell me what bulbs are where, that would be great. Such as the fog light bulb and what bulb is in the the corner marker lights on the fender?

kinda off topic, but im new to these forums and am not sure where to find what im looking for.....

i have a driving light bulb out and i was wondering what kind of bulb it was, and if i have to remove the tire and wheel well in order to change the bulb? and if not what is the other way to change it?

i can feel where the driving light bulb is at, but cant see it, so i was wondering if i just pull it out, or twist it, or something totally different?

and just to verify i have a 2003 sedan, so my highbeam/fog light is an h4 bulb?

Yes it's a H4/9007.To pull the lamp out you will need to unlatch it. If you can't see it, then you should probably pull the wheel to be safe. You don't want to mess up your housings. Make sure you replace both lamps, if one is out, then the other will go out soon.

thanks

on my first question does anyone know what size bulbs the driving lights are or whatever those little bulbs are......maybe they are parking lights?

another OT question does anyone know how to get the side marker lights off ( the actual cover ) .....do they just pop off or do i have to take the bumper off or wheel well or something?

also i was looking at the wheel well and i noticed that they arent regular screws, so i was wondering exactly how to take them off? pop them off with a flat head, or do i have to twist them or something first?

thanks

Here is my question.

I have a 2005 G35 Sedan and want to closely match (color) the High/Fog light to that of the HID low.

What is the recommendation for that? It should be an H4 if I read this thread correctly, but I'm wanting some advice on matching the color up.

thank!

PIAA Xtreme force H4's are the best match that I have seen. They are only a few kelvin off of the stock low beams.

Here is the best price that I could find on Ebay for ithttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWD1V

Thanks. I didn't want a big difference in the color hue between the low and high/fog so this helps out a tremendous amount! Thanks PSEDOG!

There is also a decent selection of 4000K PIAA Xtreme White bulbs on Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb...o.y=4

Advertised as "Manufactured to SAE recommended specifications and DOT compliant".

Don't forget to look at http://www.amazon.com/PIAA-Wed...r=8-2 if you want to replace the parking lights (sort of built-in next to highbeam/driving light in the sedan).
