Well I got a CAI from Fujita today.....they used my other car to prototype a CAI for and they owed me a new one, so I got one for the V and installed it myself....... a DIY will follow soon.....here are a few pix for now...

all the stuff that it comes with

Before

After

here is the dyno sheet from Fujita

took about 1 and 1/2 to install with basic tools....here is there websitehttp://www.f5air.com/

first impression....the throttle response is great and its sounds awesome when you get on it.....will follow up after more driving

Its nice looking, i have a feeling that all the intake systems for the versa will have the same HP boost no matter what company makes it. Weather it be AEM Stillen or Fujita.

Almost 10wtorque across the band is a pretty good notice in these little cars. 3-4whp across the band too doesnt hurt.

Any idea on price on this compared to the AEM??

Im thinking about doing one, only to make up for the extra weight in the trunk. lol

holy $41T! 7.6 CU FT.! DUDE why do you have a ported box that takes up that much room in our car! Wow Overkill. I can only imagine the weight of that thing. my box and sub together weigh about 10 lbs.

Its 7.6 Cu before the port, and its for 4 -12s. Minus the 2 vents, bracing, and 4 subs, its only about 1.5 Cub per sub.

Also, what im mostly proud of, The seats still work perfectly, and the box is only about 1 inch taller than the seats, roughly 2 inchs shorter than the head rest, so it doest block any of my rear glass at basically.

I would have to guess the box weighs about 50lbs. Then 4 subs, SLR battery, 3 amps, im sure it all weighs quite a lot.

We didnt have a demo car for my location(ShowOff Audio) and since im now install manager, I decided to step up to the plate and make my car the demo car.

There is still a lot to do, the box is getting basic face plates so it looks molded to the walls, finish wiring, Door components need replaced with some Memphis M Class components, and then replace the deck with a Kenwook 8019 as soon as it shows up. And that should cover it......... for now.

That curve is nice. It doesn't seem like you lost any low end, unlike a lot of the other intake systems for other cars.

How much of a difference do you feel at the bottom end? Does it feel sluggish and then strong or is it quicker from bottom all the way through the powerband?

Martini, if you check out the blog and picture area of versaspeed.com you will see/hear and get results of a "Cold Air Intake" which adds more "umph" to the car.....along with other things for the Versa.

What part is going to be blue? I only know of Polished for the Fujita and the same for AEM (the do have unpolished) been to both companies. If it's one of those two make sure what they are sending you.......most companies deal with so many other makes the Versa is just "another" car.

The SL have the harness in?So you need only the fog lights and "badda bing"?

not so much badda bing, because only the nissan factory lights plug into the harness, the DIY is still implied for people who either dont have an SL, or dont want to spend money on the OEM kit
