We also realize that they have been shipping mismatched heat shields with the intakes, and will absolutely make sure everyone who ordered gets the appropriate heat shield (although we've found some are happy with the mismatch, who knew? LOL).
Jeff took me to the warehouse and opened I believe... 3 polished intakes and all 3 had polished heat shields. So since I knew opened boxes don't go over too well with customers instead of opening all the boxes... I just asked him to open a black intake and what do you know... a polished heat shield.
We couldn't find a black heat shield so I did the install today but would love to get the black heat shield when you come up on them. The polished heat shield got all these noticeable finger prints on it when we were doing the install but the black intake was not noticeable at all. I'll keep in touch with Margaret.
