Just thought I'd put my .02 in. I bought the Initial D DVD series off e-bay the early part of 2002, and am hooked on it. Loved Sayuki the best(mho she was Takumi's best option), and thought the FC/86 race was AWESOME. As for it coming to the U.S. in dubbed form, I'm going to buy it regardless. Just because it's Initial D. Sure they'll change part of the story line, the dubbing will be 2nd class as it always is, but I'm willing to give it a chance. If I don't like it, I still got my subtitled version

P.S. I don't think Initial D will make as big of an impact on wannabe street racers as F & F and the new 2F & 2F have and will have made. So to any honda kids out there who are big on body kits and euro lights, just keep what you're doing! Save the 240sx idea for when you want a real car

They already changed the names up in the Initial D acrace game.

As for the unibody celica:

Unibody means-A manufacturing process where sheet metal body parts are combined with stress-bearing elements to form the body and chassis as a single piece, as opposed to attaching body parts to a frame.

That chassis was converted to rwd and the body sits on a new frame.

Initial D could be a good thing, the ricers may divert their attention from the 240 seeing that the hachi is a good drift car and the s13s never win All the ricers will sell their 240 and buy a corolla gts, sorry hachi scene, but its survival of the fittest :P

The bad thing, lots of cool cars get riced out and torn to ****. Also the bad usuage of drift terms/speak and all the other bad stuff ricers seem to know all about and destroy. The ricers will make drifters look like bad guys, such and such, they will try to drift everywhere into a old lady strollering her little kid across the Xwalk. Yada yada yada and so on....

I've big into the subbing world. If you want someone sub your option videos answer these:1. What format are you sources in2. What format do you want3. Do you already have translations?

1 and 2 aren't important but 3 definantly is. If you don't have 3 then your pretty much out of luck. There are a lack of translators as it is in the fansubbing world. Digisubbing world doesn't have this problem but they're translations aren't class work. If you don't have the translations look at being backlogged for months and paying $50+ per episode. Standard rate for normal anime show is $50. Since your dealing with complex car terms to a translator who probably isn't a car fanatic expect alot more. If you have 3 already give me an email @ [email protected]

Just wanna say congrats to freak for defending NICO as the anti-rice haven it is. Azn, get outta hear. No one wants to hear you brag because you had a fast civic. No one wants to hear you talk about other fast civics. No one wants to hear you rag on Freak, a valuable member of the boards, for fixing his car in a perfectly tasteful fashion in the order in which he so desired. If anything he did the right thing by tuning up his car and getting it running in top order BEFORE doing any performance modifications. How many civics have I seen with "cold air" that had at least that much money if not more in leaks, timing issues, worn parts, and things that SHOULD be done first. So get outta here, quit bothering us.

Both Azn and Freak were out of line. I believe this isn't the first time you two have gone at it? And last time the thread got locked, correct? Both of you made plenty of sense, but then the name-calling started and life got stupid. You both show great examples of "adults." Right now I think most people would consider me more adult like than either of you because of this argument. As far as Initial D, I haven't seen it, but I see references to it all the time on the boards here, it sounds cool. I don't mind if they bring it at all, but the idea of people trying to drift (you can't) in Civics, Integras, Celicas, Eclipses, etc. and killing people doesn't make me happy. However, most ricers are too preppy to watch anime, so it doesn't matter much.

Can we agree some people don't care if their car is FAST as two rockets stapped to the ARSE of a MULE. But do like to have a good looking (or what THEY consider is a good looking) MULE??? Is it safe to say that there are those who would put tens of thousands into their engine before EVER making an exterior or suspension mod??? From what I have read, some of you would talk badly about them as well, and say they need to start on their suspension first to handle the power. Makes sense to me, those are my plans, BUT if one person skins a cat with a knife, and on skins it with a axe, so long as the ends justify the means, and the OWNER of the car is happy, who gives a rats ***??? I don't care what the next 240 has or doesn't have. I will surround myself with those who have similar wants and desires for thier cars. Some people like FLASH, and want to be seen, some don't. For everything in this sad world of ours, you will find people with different opinions ("Opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one, and they all stink but mine!!! :p) Don't down talk because their goals aren't yours, just let them be. In a race you may win, but in a show they might. Prioriteis and desires are diffent. They are living another portion of the same CULTURE. There is good and bad in all, take what you want, and leave the rest. Why do you give a f#@k about the next man anyways??? I go to many American Pit Bull Terrier Forums, and for those of you familiar with purebred dogs, know there are tons of different bloodlines within each breed to choose from. Bloodlines vary from breeder to breeder just as our cars do from owner to owner.... Some like big dogs, other small dogs, others like hard biting vicious dogs, some like smarter dogs that may be less aggressive....... Never the less sorry a$$ breeders talk s*** about other bloodlines, just as I have seen others here attack others for their choices, whether it be for so-called ricing or picking to mod the KA or going with a different engine..... whether that be an SR, CA, or RB.......

We put those posts in a place call the "SHARK TANK". They can have at eachother with all the cutting up they want, but most civilized people steer clear of the "TANK" just for GP.....

Gotta remember, what someone else does doesnt make you s***, or pay your bills, so it isn't that important. ricer is a term that other people use to make fun of the new popular culture which seems to be centered around 'fast and the furious'-looking cars. It is not the lack of motor upgrades so much as the superfluous, distasteful outter mods that make a ricer.
