Thanks Rex for resizing. I think I'll read your tutorial one of these days lol.

Has anybody printed this thing out yet and tried it ? Just want to know if I helped anyone.

I don't recall anyone posting that they have done 6x9's in the front doors. I think space would be a major concern. Personally, I think you'd be better off doing 6.5" components.

Woot, so I just made baffles/mounts for my Q45 front speakers. No more crappy bose pods to think about.

ALso, I checked the clearance of the window and as long as the magnet structure doesn't stick back far enough to touch the other side of the door it will fit. This only really applies to Q45 owners.

Nice scan, but I think thats 300% of size?

Any chance for actual size?

Those MB Quarts seem happy, I have a pair of Polk db 5 1/4" seperates laying around and might give em a shot.

I'm pretty sure I've either seen someon on here, or a 240 on ebay with either 6x9's or 5x7's in the doors ... either way I'm a fan of round speakers over ovals. So, the only reason I could see to do it is if you had some free ones lying around and wasn't worries about trashing your door panel??

Unfortunately, it depends on your screen settings .

Try printing it (make fit to page) and see how it truns out. then just play with the %'s resizgin until it makes the hole just under 6".

Are you looking to trace that out and cut it yourself?

I've found that it's alot easier to take a stiff piece of cardboard and hold/tape it over the door where the speaker goes.

Hang on, did your car happen to come with mounts from the factory?

If so then take that mount off, put it on a piece of wood, or a material of your choice, and trace around it with a pencil. Mark the screw holes also. Then cut it out with a tool of your choice. SImple as that.

Then to make the hole for the speaker you can take a compass, thing with needle on one side pencil on the other, and set it to the size needed for the cut out, and then make a circle.

Yeah, my screen resolution is set at 1400 x 1050. I just clicked scan and it did whatever it wanted to I suppose. And the template fits the 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper almost perfect. I'll try to scan it again when I can.

If they select "make it fit" on almost any software, they should be able to get it onto a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper.

Hmm, I don't see a "make to fit" selection. Although I do see a resize setting. Select Area Dimensions 8.50 x 11.69, Output Dimensions are 8.50 x 11.69. Scale is at 100%.

The true resolution of the picture is 1700 x 2338, anyone know the figures to make it fit an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper ?

There's a preset size for an e-mail attachment (873 x 1200) and Web Page Display (465 x 640) if that helps.

Alright, just resized (873 x 1200) and printed it out. Came out in full size. Has anyone tried printing my original picture ? I wonder if the computer automatically resizes it to fit the 8.5 x 11 when it prints it out.

I'm sure it's due to the new forum software they're using. I don't have the template, but if you pull out your stock speaker holders, you can make your own and just center the circle for the 6.5" in the middle.

I'm pretty sure that there is another bread that has the template in it. I'll dig for it once I have internet access other than my phone.
