The cars built in Japan will chip easier than the cars built in the US due to enviro rules (unless they are following the same standards here). Nothing much you can do about it other than a clear bra and that only helps where the paint is covered (and sometimes not then).
My car had one mark on the front bumper when I had the clear bra installed a month or so ago. It now has another couple where road debris actually nicked it through the clear bra itself. I also have a couple of chips on the edge of the hood/fender where the bra does not protect it. Otherwise the rest is still chip free and I've had some rocks bounce off the front with no issues.
